Each week I print 4 Tangle Pattern Strings and usually only do one or two, but this time I felt like doing them all. The 2nd one reminded me of a lady's head, so my next 3 themes were exactly that. thanks for looking - Enjoy!
only my 2nd Zendala and i can already tell that they are going to become one of my favorite things to do!!!
This is just to show that a string_patterns_finished tile can give a new impression from another angle.
This is my second entry in Erin's Monodala. This one uses the pattern 'IXORUS'. I have taken progress photos of the Zendala if you wish to view. This took me a while to do, was very intricate as there is very little space in some of the sections of the template.... oh well! once you start you just can't stop :) Enjoy and thanks for looking. www.thebrightowl.com
I didn't enter this one for this weeks dare - this one is the same as the other except no fill. www.thebrightowl.com
Had an idea to use the same principle as 'flowervine' - I love how easy it is to do :)
Here I have beads.
Thanks for visiting :)
My new fave pattern... here is a variation of Y-Flip (by Helen Williams)
I actually drew the circles in between the over and under lines, then filled in, much easier - for me at least :)
This is only an A7 size (probably 4" X2.5") - just doodling at work :))
Created for Stamping A to Z's A is for... (art journaling) and C is for... (ColorBox) challenges.
The red background piece was created back during Stamptoberfest 2008 for Daria's (djc's) SOF08 Resist This Challenge. I stamped the "warm wishes" sentiment from Hero Arts CL130 Frames and Messages using scarlet red ColorBox pigment ink.
The focal image is a zendoodle that I created, by hand drawing, using a Faber-Castell pen.
I die cut and dry embossed a matte for the zendoodle using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eighteen. The focal image and matte are adhered using foam squares for dimension. The black-and-white gingham ribbon is by Bazzill. I was inspired to get this gingham ribbon after seeing Godelieve (stampingmathilda) use it so well.
Thanks for looking! :-)
This was my first go at this week's Zendala Dare - done on the round template. Check out all the lovely Zendalas here www.thebrightowl.com with Erin.
8 1/2 x 11 ... Done with Helix 0.1mm pen & fine point sharpie ... The clock in my heart says, time is moving too fast ...
The Pillow -
Copada, Blossoms
I wanted to go beyond the string and still use the same pattern - the middle section reminded me of a pillow. so we have some pretty wallpaper, curtain material and another round cushion and the black and white section could even be a wicker chair :))
