tangle patterns: llilly & puffle

I'm pleased with the way this Dare turned out. I think my shading is improving. I used the Tangles Baton, Paradox, Ixorus and Tagh to complete this design. I would love to hear what you think! Thank you for taking the time to comment. Thanks for looking at it.

This week's challenge was to use a brand new tangle called "schway". It's a really cool tangle that I found a bit difficult to get the hang of. As you can see, it gives a cool effect of arrows going in both directions.

Fun challenge!

First impression of this template was... So pretty and delicate. For some reasons, I immediately thought I wanted it to look fresh and natural, so I knew I wanted leaves, flowers etc etc. Oh, and I wanted a change from the 'round' Zendalas. Patterns that flowed beyond the Zendala was the approach. Tried to achieve some sort of balance in the tangles here, as well as balance in light&dark, solid&strokes.

The template kept playing in my mind, so I tried again...

I was inspired by Margaret Bremner's beautiful bunzo zendala to try this "no string" challenge once more, compliments of CZT Diva Laura Harms. I used the tangles Sedgling and a Crescent Moon variation that I "borrowed" from Maria Thomas. The rest I just filled in as I went along.
