Please go to my blog, "All Tangled Up" @ www.ronniesz.wordpress.com for a full description of these Zendala Dares. Thanks.

These mandalas are all Erin's templates; left to right: top row - #45, #58, #59; bottom row: #53, #54, #55. Each zendala is tile size traced onto 8 x 10 watercolor paper.

Totally hand drawn zendala on a 3.5" tile. No template, ruler, compass. I learned how to do this in a book I just got called The Art of Zentangle.

Here you see my Zentangled mandala for Daisy Yellow's Index Card a Day 2014 creative challenge.

tangle patterns: flutter tile & hurakan

Just felt like having lots of colours to this challenge this week...and just doodle away. Sorry, picture is a little blur.

I thought the pattern for this Zendala looked like a pinwheel, so I used the tangle Pinwheel on the outside. Not sure it looks like a pinwheel anymore. I also used Inapod and Paradox.

This mini-Zendala (3' punched circle) I started as a demonstration of Flux for one of the classes; now finished it with Sanibelle. It makes me think of a forest - moss and lingonberries....

"i am the diva"'s challange no.4-"starry eyed surpirse"

not finished yet

This was made for a dear friend with colored pencils from an original string. It is approx 7" by 7"

I had fun with this one...and I used 5 tangles I've never used before!

Tangles, clockwise from the top: Tink, Punch, Knyt, Sunflower, Huggins, Flutter Tile, Nzeppel, Lanie and Drupe in the centre.

(I'm debating putting a rope-type tangle around the edge to create the Mandala shape...thoughts?)

tangle patterns: llilly & puffle

I'm pleased with the way this Dare turned out. I think my shading is improving. I used the Tangles Baton, Paradox, Ixorus and Tagh to complete this design. I would love to hear what you think! Thank you for taking the time to comment. Thanks for looking at it.

Miss Flutterby - a plethora of patterns

Erin's Dare was to draw the Zendala using only pencil. MIssion accomplished. Thanks for viewing. Your comments are welcome.

This week's challenge was to use a brand new tangle called "schway". It's a really cool tangle that I found a bit difficult to get the hang of. As you can see, it gives a cool effect of arrows going in both directions.

Fun challenge!

Thanks for visiting!
