Solresor har resor till charmiga Zakynthos nästa sommar. Grekisk gästfrihet och klarblått vatten väntar.
Navagio Beach or the Shipwreck, is an isolated sandy cove on Zakynthos island and one of the most famous beaches in Greece. It is notable because it is home to the wreck of the alleged smuggler ship Panagiotis. However the hostess told us that the authorities never found any thing illegal on board. The Greece left it there for a long time meaning to clear it but than it became so popular by the tourist that they left it there !
Waters around Navagio often have electric light blue colour because of the numerous sulphurous caves around the beach and when the sea is rising a large quantity of sulphur radiates, giving the possibility of taking beautiful pictures.
To visit the beach, a part from the numerous tours of the island, it is possible, from the close bay of Porto Vromi,
You can not leave the island without having seen this beach from the panoramic view at the top of the promontory facing the beach itself.
Half way between the villages of Volimes and Anafonitria there is an asphalt road leading to a huge car-park; getting down a few steps you reach a balcony from where you can admire the beach.
