This is a view from the guest room (23rd floor) of Cotton Harbour Towers in Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama-shi.
We wanted to get away from the windy east side - the trade winds were blowing at a steady 20 mph, gusting up to 35 mph and it felt like getting sandblasted. We headed for Iroquois Point but it wasn't much better. We decided beach time wasn't going to happen so went up the west shore to Makua and Yokohama Beach - very awesome scenery. Very nice day out despite the wind.
I took these photos in January 2019.

This shot is the result of a lot of planning! I scouted locations on google maps where I could get shots of Yokohama's iconic tower, with traffic in the foreground. I found this and visited the spot during the day to confirm it would work. Then I came back at night and shot a bunch of shots to merge into this composite. I'm really happy with how clean it came out!
I went to Yokohama again.
I came here with a Dutch passenger ship called Maasdam.
When I arrived in Yokohama, the unexpected Asuka II and Pacific Venus were anchored.
First, I took a picture with a beautiful woman who seems to be a passenger of Maasdam and Asuka II.
Not far from Yokohama's seaside is Chinatown, with lots of shops and places to eat. Yokohama Chinatown developed after the port of Yokohama was one of the first Japanese ports to be opened to foreign trade in 1859. This is the Goodwill Gate at the entrance, built in 1955.
