With the arrival of the CountryLink XPT my CountryLink collection is now complete. With an Auscision 73 class (the only one painted like this), a Southern Rail Models Xplorer set plus the XPT, it looks pretty good. I've added the three blue 86 class together even though by the time the Xplorers were introduced the 'stealth' locos were painted the same as 8617.
Unfortunately the blue and aqua colours are not the same on each model, in fact they are different on each model, despite two coming from the one company! Still, they are fairly close.
Although CityRail Endeavour services between Goulburn/Moss Vale and Sydney are timetabled to use the East Hills Line between Glenfield and Wolli Creek, their CountryLink Xplorer counterparts are normally timetabled to operate via Regents Park, to allow the trains to pick up or set down at Strathfield. When track closures make this impossible, it is common that the CountryLink Canberra, Griffith and Melbourne services will be diverted to run via East Hills.
SP32 is running dead on time as it crosses over the viaduct into East Hills Station with SP32 Xplorer service from Canberra.
