Happy fence Friday, everyone.
I have admired this farm scene every time I have passed by, but have only stopped twice for photos, this photo taken on May 16, 2018. The farm is just west of the pleasant town of Brooklyn in the southeast corner of Jackson County.

Whitewashed houses are built into a rock face along a narrow cobblestone street in Setenil de las Bodegas, Andalusia, Spain. The rugged cliff overhangs the structures, providing natural shelter. A stone balustrade lines the street, which features classic street lamps. In the background, lush greenery and terraced hills are visible, adding to the scenic view. The architecture showcases the unique integration of natural elements into urban design in this historic town.

This is a standard shot of Lower South Falls in Silver Falls State Park, Oregon. The big treat is going behind the falls and seeing how the powerful flow interacts with the rocks below to create bizarre shapes. While it looks so graceful with a long exposure shot, like a curtain, it doesn't look anything like this in person. It's a powerful creature, and very loud.
Shutter 1.3 seconds. Aperture 22.
Elder Whitewash a fungi not someone drying his painting brush. Not much fungi around I thought this looked nice against the green and brown.

This was the only day with bad weather during our short stay at Santorini, but also the only day when we rented a car to drive around the island. Schade... (The rest of the time we took the public bus from Kamari.)
A medium-sized owl, the Long-eared Owl (Asio otus) is occasionally mistaken for a great horn. But these noctural raptors are much smaller and lighter bodied than their great horned cousins. Another telltale sign that you're looking at a long-eared owl is the distance between their ear tufts. Great horneds' shorter ear tufts are situated much further apart.
Since owls don't build their own nests, theirs is a game of usurping. These owls will often take those domiciles recently built by crows or smaller raptors like Cooper's hawks. And the thievery goes both ways. One researcher has even found a Cooper's hawk accidentally incubating long-eared owl eggs with its own brood, since it had stolen the nest but neglected to evict the occupants!

Gardener’s Room, Kingston Lacy, the blackboard lists the names of local people who died serving in the First WorldWar.
The watering can is inscribed with the words: “The end of our childhood coincided with the First World War ....... of all the young gardeners and menservants who had joined the Dorset Yeomanry and seen service......few returned”.

Ezekiel 22:28 “Her prophets whitewashed all of these things through false visions and lying divinations. They kept on saying, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says…’, when the LORD has not spoken.”
On our way to Monument valley from Moab on a winter morning after a over night snowfall, we found this place beside the road. It looks like a hidden gem in between the white land and gray sky. We spent sometime here enjoying the heavenly peace.
Santorini stands out as a classic holiday destination because of the blue sea and its famous architecture. The whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches and paved paths are typical for the islands in the Aegean Sea, especially in the Cyclades, Greece.
