Whisp was spun mostly from an amazing handcarded batt from stiletto54 that was made up of soft wools, recycled sari silk, nylon sparkle, angelina, and kid mohair (and probably more). I added in a bunch of extras - 'black diamond' (shiny grey carbonized bamboo) fiber, more nylon sparkle, white angora rabbit fluff, pale blue bamboo, and (best of all) clear plastic from recycled plastic bags. This skein is mostly wool, but there are long sections of the bamboo, angora, and clear plastic.

Variations on a pattern, created from a single whisp of smoke. Edited in software by adding a graduated colour layer below the smoke to colourise it, then the whisp copied, rotated, etc. to build the pattern. Each variation is simply achied by changing the hue settings of the final image.
