The Royal Bank Plaza South is one of my favourite buildings in Toronto to photograph for its beautiful geometry and the wonderful way in which it reflects light. See a slightly different take here

The gushing Shannon Falls flush with water from a melting snowpack, as seen from a relatively new viewing platform that did not exist on my last visit a few years back.

Morning clouds above the trees in Deep Cove, BC.

(Cirrus clouds are thin, wispy clouds that usually form above 18,000 feet. These clouds are blown by strong westerly winds aloft into streamers known as "mares' tails" Cirrus clouds generally move from west to east across the sky and usually "point" to fair weather.)

So, what do you see?

I used to think they could feel, like me. When I was young I refused to get rid of any of my stuffed animals for fear they would "be sad". I felt especially protective of the ones that no one would want, the less desirable carnival bears and such. I held on to them for far too long. I slowly started to let them go. I did keep one in particular. I had been in the hospital getting my tonsils out... my Dad brought me the most beautiful one of all. It had long white hair, it was a dog with a pink and gold collar and its own brush. I don't know if it is because he showed, or because the dog was the most beautiful thing I thought I had seen. I kept that dog long after the others were gone. Eventually I put it in a bag in storage. Years later I happened upon it. Sadly, it's fur had yellowed and started to turn to whisps of nothing. I realized that they don't feel, and that I still had the memory of that day in the hospital and I let that one go too.

I have one bear left that I think will always stay with me. He has no eyes.. only ears. He listens to me some nights, and I am sure is dried with tears. I don't care what anyone thinks, sometimes we need our bears. And sometimes, we need to say goodbye.

For my dad who passed away on this day a few years ago--- in case I never thanked you....

The SDCC villian two-pack has arrived.

This was shot using a Hoya infrared filter. It was actually a tester taken from my balcony but loved the results and decided to keep it.

I've been toying with the idea of infrared photography for a few months now, basically debating between converting my old Nikon D60 and purchasing an IR filter. Basically opted to go with a filter given I never really loved the results of my D60 and I can basically use my filter on any lens granted I get some reducer rings. I'm already super stoked for future results.

Barely any post-processing done aside from slight darkening of the trees to the right.

This was not Hide-and-Seek - she was trying to hug an old tree that has an extent of 6 meters. Incredible - but I was there as you can see!

Kieran Valentine & Whisp were a purchase via two of my friends who were able to attend SDCC last year. I wasn't sure if I'd ever open them but my artistic muse demanded it so today and here we are XD

Delightful youngster who learned how to place me between herself and the older larger bears...

Snowy Andes peaks and whisps of lenticular clouds. I couldn't ask for more...

WHISPER

Whilst my tripod is locked away in the back of my car in the garage being repaired. Ive been forced to processing pics. Hopefully get it back next week.

This photo is from a trip last year to Kimmeridge in Dorset.

Personally I found the location where we were very hard composition wise.

I think I managed to get this shot okay though. I like the whisps of water coming towards you.

Thanks for looking

A typically awful spring, heavy clouds, rain, all add up to a very poor first image of the year, nonetheless it warms my heart that this now two year old sow is healthy and approximately doubled in size from 2016, to 80-100 lbs or so this spring, this is Whisp....The bears have been very slow to move in this spring, this is the latest first official photo(5/25)I've ever taken, perhaps its weather related, one of the worst springs ever, and to think, we thought last years sucked...
