Dozens of cars were moving to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar in the Route 68 in the trenche betweeen Lo Vásquez sanctuary and Lo Orozco JCT last November, 30th. This picture was taken from the upper deck of a double decker bus that connects Santiago and Valparaíso (and that lasts 2 hours of trip). This flux of cars is normal to be seen every weekend, specially in spring and summer time. The route 68 is expected to receive a major overhaul that will consist in add 2 new lanes and 2 new tunnels.

Docenas de vehículos se encontraban moviéndose hacia Valparaíso y Viña del Mar en plena Ruta 68 en el tramo comprendido entre el Santuario e Iglesia de Lo Vásquez y el Cruce Lo Orozco (que va hacia Quilpué y Villa Alemana). Esta foto, tomada el 30/11 pasado, fue tomada desde el asiento panorámico de uno de los tantos buses de 2 pisos que ofrecen la ruta entre Santiago y Valparaíso / Viña del Mar y que por lo general demoran entre 1:30 y 2 horas de viaje. Tal como se aprecia en la imagen, el flujo vehicular es alto y normal para los fines de semana y en especial durante la Primavera y Verano (austral). Por otro lado, desde 2029 la Ruta 68 experimentará una gigantesca remodelación que involucrará un ensanchamiento con 2 nuevas pistas y 2 nuevos túneles (Lo Prado III y Zapata III).

Aankomend weekend hebben we een waanzinnig mooie combinatie van workshops.
Iedereen kent het probleem wel..."mijn studio is niet groot genoeg".... "ik heb geen dure flitsers" ik denk dat dit zonder meer wel het meest gehoorde problemen zijn. Maar geloof me het is eigenlijk geen probleem want je kan enorm mooie platen maken in kleine ruimtes en zeker ook met simpele lichtbronnen.
Op de 20e geef ik de workshop "kleine ruimtes"
In deze workshop krijg je een enorm veel tips over het werken in kleine tot zeer kleine ruimtes. Naast de kleine ruimtes krijg je ook veel tips over lichtgebruik, rook (indien dit past binnen de wensen van de groep), coachen van het model, retouch tips en veel veel meer. Een knallende workshop tjokvol creatieve ideeën.
En op de 21e is er de workshop "simpele lichtbronnen"
In deze workshop werken we alleen maar met de meest simpele modifiers, de goedkoopste softboxen, paraplu's, reflectoren en zelfs gloeilampen.
Een workshop perfect voor de beginnende fotograaf maar door de uitgebreide aandacht aan licht manipulatie ook zeer interessant voor de meer ervaren fotograaf.

The 4M25 06:06 Mossend Euroterminal to Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT) working doesn't usually run on a Saturday, but DB Cargo's Class 90s, 90024 and 90028 "Sir William McAlpine" were putting in some overtime as they powered the liner through a damp and grey Acton Bridge.

Update 11/26/08: As per the suggestion of Rajesh & Dr.P.K.Roy, I have reposted this photo with added blue masking & reduced the curve distortion......thank you all for good feedback ....this improves my work :-)
Thanks giving is approaching , I'm sure we all will buy gifts for our relatives, friends and little ones, whatever we can in spite of economic downtime.....hope this photo will give a boost to go to our nearest mall to spend some good time for shoping and buying gifts for thanks giving.

Tech Note: DRI mapping of 6 exposures taken in Nikkor 10.5mm fisheye. This was my conscious effort not to add saturation/color treatment. This is just a passionate effort of 4+ hours of component based 6 exposures blending. Beleive me I was tired after this continuous effort but the result was damn satisfactory to manage every nook & corner of the 180 wide angle frame.
