The Sinclair Method
TSM requires no expensive rehab and no hospital detox. The method has gone through over 80 successful clinical trials and uses a safe, non-addictive, FDA-approved medication (naltrexone) that is off-patent, which means inexpensive (the medication is actually sold over-the-counter in Spain). For the thousands of people using TSM, total abstinence from alcohol, along with zero cravings for alcohol, is a real and common goal. It is based on a relatively new discovery that alcoholism is a ‘learned behavior’ that can also be ‘unlearned’. The medication is NOT a magic pill, but when used with TSM protocols has been shown to be over 70% effective. I personally know of many people currently using TSM successfully and a large percentage of these people now consider themselves cured - that is, back in control of their lives once again, without physical cravings for alcohol. The method takes on average 3-6 months (some even sooner) and is done primarily from the home.
I know TSM sounds too good to be true ... but it is TRUE.

I kid you not, this is the Holy Grail! Well, at least the one the Pope sent to Spain a long time ago to keep it safe. I doubt the disciples actually drank from an elaborately decorated gold cup.
The Spectrum of Charax consists of ten scrolls, each measuring 3 x 1,200 inches, the size of a typical roll of receipt tape. A puzzle for future archeologists, each scroll is digitally printed with individual song lyrics transcribed into barcode using alphanumeric barcode encryption software. Embedding the highly personal within an impersonal form, the lyrics reflect a range of social and cultural experience, addressing themes of power, excess, lack and desire. In this work I explore the stories of women only once removed from the bonds of slavery, when millions of African-Americans fled the South in search of a better life in a “Great Migration" that would forever change the face of America. Many fear teaching history's truth about systemic racism may engender shame, but for me the true shame is having to unlearn a history that tells less than the whole story. A more complete history brings back the voices of those who have been intentionally silenced. It is time, in the words of the Black National Anthem, to "lift every voice."
Using 100 year old historical portraits which often feel strikingly modern, along with period documents, textures from my drawing and paintings, layered with pages from a 1919 antique book, "The Trees of Pennsylvania," I hope to create images that give voice to stories too long silent and restore dignity to women striving to escape their chains, both literal and figurative, while exploring the layering of time and memory as these women went on to create wide-growing family trees, putting down roots in fertile new lands.

And account that the long-suffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given to him has written to you; As also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction. (2 Peter 3:15-16)
The contrast between our Hotel, The Trident and the city outside the gates was stark. Within we had European delights and hygiene standards one expects, however outside the idea of hygiene seemed left behind or as yet unlearned. I have no desire to be harsh or over critical but Varanasi centre needs to be rebuilt.
Broken benchmarks, misleading metrics, and terrible tools. This talk will help you navigate the treacherous waters of system performance tools, touring common problems with system metrics, monitoring, statistics, visualizations, measurement overhead, and benchmarks. This will likely involve some unlearning, as you discover tools you have been using for years, are in fact, misleading, dangerous, or broken.
In my journal, I wrote: 'I am a lost babe. Home is the wild just like me. Unlearn man's taming. Call on the ancestors who knew to walk lightly and reverently. Today I knelt and prayed to Black Elk and Crazy Horse on their sacred hunting grounds. 'What is my purpose?' I asked. 'Guide me- Help me understand.' They came as a hawk followed by a small swallow. They flew together and with the hawk in the lead. I felt this understanding come into my mind: 1. Harm no living thing and none will harm you.
2. Resist self-consciousness.
3. Know where you step.
4. The fourth lesson will come tonight
But did he ever return?
No, he never returned,
And his fate is still unlearned.
He may ride forever 'neath the streets of Boston,
He's the man who never returned.
rp @ckyourprivilege: Change is possible on this journey, but it begins with unlearning, and self kindness in the process. At some point we realize we cannot begin healing from white supremacy racism until we do our own collective work. It is beyond double tapping images on social media, or listening and learning, theres a constant release that needs to happen. Releasing ideas, behaviors, relationships that we must sit with unpack and revisit. Naming the experiences, the people we've harmed, been complicit with. We've got to do this individually and collectively. We're unlearning hundreds of years of white supremacy racism, the healing and transformation can't be rushed. .. Healing from this isn't linear.
