There is a trail around the other side of the rocky point to the lighthouse. I did not hike that trail so this was my only view of the lighthouse. Maybe on another visit I will try...
Snapshot of U.S. Army Nurse Corps nurse Rosalie A. Ferguson of Siler City and Kinston, N.C., wearing a white nurse’s apron, standing outside at the corner of a building at the U.S. Army’s Base Hospital No. 65 in Kerhuon, France, during World War I. HUMPHREYS GARRISON – U.S. Senators Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) and Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii) visited here Nov. 8. Following their arrival by helicopter, the senators were taken to the Red Dragon Inn, where they shared lunch and some words with Soldiers from their home states. Following lunch and a short photograph session, the senator’s tour continued with a visit to the Super Gym, where they viewed the Humphreys Master Plan Briefing. Following that, they boarded the helicopters and received an aerial tour of the current and future installation from Col. Joseph P. Moore, Humphreys Garrison commander and Todd Dirmeyer, the garrison master planner.

U Mandara Ke is a phrase from the 16th chapter of the Lotus Sutra. It is one of my favorite parts of Gongyo. It can be translated as "heavenly flowers fall like rain." It can be interpreted to mean "being showered with blessings".
Trees here are full with flowers now and when pass near to them you can notice their sweet smell. It is "u mandara ke" everywhere and fills my heart with joy.

Linda outside the new (at the time) U.S. embassy on London's Grosvenor Square. The building (by architect Eero Saarinen) was controversial when it opened in 1960, and the 35-foot eagle sculpture at the top (by sculptor Theodore Roszak) was especially so.
