Warmth + Style = A dramatic layer for any time of year...

This top-down, seamless knit starts spicy with a cabled ribbing, then eases in to some comfortable stitching for the body. Based on the shape of one of designer Jennifer Hansen’s favorite store-bought sweaters, the design is universally flattering, fun to wear and relatively fast to knit in a bulky yarn.

A very business-like look today: my tan suit.

The suit is by T. Milano Woman, bought at Foreman Mills in January 2012; the red turtleneck is actually from my male wardrobe; and the shoes are new ~ I'll have a separate posting about them later. Other accessories are red bow, gold jewelry and natural hose.

Subtitled: "Three Days in Femme Clothes, part 1":

Here's my hounds-tooth suit. The suit is from Fashion Bug in September 2010; the red turtleneck is by LL Bean (from my male clothes, actually!) and I have no idea when I got it; the shoes are Steve Madden "P-Echo" black patent pumps, bought at Famous Footwear in May 2012; other accessories are black-and-white jewelry and natural hose.

Really hate this - too stretchy and actually felted after I washed it in cold water....

Another Fall dress, The RUBYwear Turtleneck Dress with Belt, I did 12 colors and 2 belts a black and brown, because they are separate and you can change them or not wear one at all. I put on some RUBYwear Knit Tights this time with my RUBY Cowboy Boots. Hair by .b

My weekend en femme begins. I came home from work this evening, put dinner in the oven and then went to change into the outfit you see here, minus the wig and makeup (didn't want to mess it all up with eating). The ensemble ~ turtleneck sweater and jeans ~ was chosen to be comfortable enough to spend the entire evening in. I even forewent the corset (using only my old waist cinch) for added comfort. (I promise to use the corset for any other outfits during this stretch.)

Accessories are black-and-white jewelry, white belt, and red patent t-strap pumps...as well as the black cloche hat ~ looking the best it ever has. I suspect it looks best with short hair.
