Old Ginger, Tumeric, Galangal, young Ginger, with lemon grass on top - Yummmm, you gotta love the Indo/Malay cooking.
Dyed with food-tumeric for yellow, beets for red, blueberries & raspberries for purple, coffee for brown, kale for light green. Used tape & rubber bands for stripes. Started with brown eggs.
I used natural colored Sock Yarn and dyed it in variagated yellow using tumeric. It's a bit darker than on the photo and very sunny.
Joe was "starving," so this is what I came up with from stuff we had... Tofu, vegan mayo, squirt of dijon mustard, relish, chopped red pepper, tumeric, chili powder, garlic powder, salt & pepper. Mashed up and served with crackers... Happy Joe.
