Мне кажется, самое время показать какую-нибудь трункату. Хочется, конечно, крупную и с необычным рисунком, но за неимением такой покажу пока свою самую взрослую..
Я уже писал как-то, что здоровое растение, пусть и не самое редкое, радует ничуть не меньше, а даже больше раритетного задохлика. Это полностью справедливо для этой трункатки. Растет она достаточно активно, образует невысокую розетку, не капризничает с корнями. Деток пока не образовывала, поэтому, вполне возможно, что попробую провести с ней эксперимент по переукоренению головы.
Ну а съемка трункат сверху, это уже стандарт, именно так можно в полной мере показать все достоинства сорта.

É originárida do Brasil, leva esse nome pelo fato de que sua floração tem início em maio, também chamada de flor de seda e suas cores também são diversas, como cor de rosa, branca, laranja e vermelha. Seu ciclo de vida é perene. Possui caule formado por artículos, os quais, destacados podem originar novas plantas.

Also known as the flower of May, it is a species of Schlumbergera truncata, of the botanical genus of the cactaceae family. It originates in Brazil, is named after the fact that its flowering begins in May, also called silk flower and its colors are also diverse, such as pink, white, orange and red. Its life cycle is perennial. It has a stem formed by articles, which, detached can originate new plants.

Native to / origin: Subtrop. rainforest in south-east Brazil. Serra dos Órgãos and Serra do Mar, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Plants grow at altitudes of 700-1000 m. as epiphyts.
This is a highly variable moth and easily confused with Chlyroclysta citrata citrata (Dark Marbled Carpet). I think I've got the correct ID, but please let me know if you disagree. HWW!

My Schlumbergera truncata bloomed profusely from mid-December 2022 until mid-January 2023. Usually that would be it until next year, but "she" surprised me with a second eruption of buds and is now flowering again! It is delightful to have the added flowering period since this month has been so cloudy and cold.

The Christmas Cacti in various colors that we see everywhere during the holidays are NOT really the true Christmas Cacti. These are clones selected for their colors and growth habits and are given various cultivar names. These commercial varieties in an wide array of spectacular colors have been selected and/or induced by chemical and biological manipulation.
The true or heirloom Christmas Cactus had descended from one of William Buckley's hybrid Schlumbergera russelliana X Schlumbergera truncata plants in the 1840s in the Rollisson Nurseries of England and are commonly known now as Schlumbergera x buckleyi.
There are possibly two, perhaps three slightly different surviving clones (vegetative descendents e.g. by layering or cuttings) of three hybrids of this cross, named
Schlumbergera x buckleyi 'Buckleyi',
Schlumbergera x buckleyi 'Rollissonii'
Schlumbergera x buckleyi 'Snowii'
'Buckleyi' = White tube shading to magenta petals
'Rollissonii' = Flowers magenta in color
'Snowii' = Smaller magenta flowers and stem segments.

Schlumbergera truncata, the false Christmas cactus, is a species of plant in the Cactaceae family. It is endemic to a small area of the coastal mountains of south-eastern Brazil where its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist forests. It is the parent or one of the parents of the houseplants called Christmas cactus or Thanksgiving cactus, among other names.
There are six to eight tepals, which may be of various colours, including shades of red, orange, pink and white.
