The Westway kisses the Grand Union Canal before swooping away. Two trunk routes from very different eras frame Erno Goldfinger’s brutalist masterpiece Trellick Tower. Trellick’s grade 2* listed status saved it from the flammable cladding used to “beautify” nearby Grenfell Tower with such tragic consequences.

Designed in a brutalist style by Hungarian architect Ernő Goldfinger, the building opened in 1972. A Goldfinger signature design element are the 'sky bridges' connecting the building's different blocks at various levels.
