Pedn-Vounder, Porthcurno High tide on the rocks.
Taken on 25/07/2014 at 13:17:41Hrs GMT, using a Nikon D300s camera with a Tamron AF70-300mm F4-5.6 Di LD MACRO 1:2 lens + a 62mm UV filter, from the southwest costal footpath, in the area of the Minack Theatre.
The Logan Rock is near the village of Treen in Cornwall, England, UK, and is an example of a logan or rocking stone.
Pedn Vounder Beach.
Is a tucked-away sandy beach famed for its turquoise water, reached by scrambling down a rocky cliff.
The Minack Theatre is an open-air theatre, constructed above a gully with a rocky granite outcrop jutting into the sea. The theatre is at Porthcurno, 4 miles from Land's End in Cornwall, England. The Minack's performing season runs from Easter to the end of October and includes a wide range of music and theatre.

The beautiful coastline of the western edge of Cornwall, UK, looking down to Pedn Vounder Beach near Land's End.
Very tiny German dolls' kitchen with built-in furnishings. The kitchen is only 23cm wide, 14cm deep and 14cm high. The little all-bisque doll by Welsch of Breslau is just under 8cm high. The tiny china jugs, the green bowls on the floor and the glass "plates" (old buttons) are from the flea market.
The kitchen is marked "519" and "4,-" in pencil beneath the base.
My favourite beach in Cornwall, Porthcurno, captured just before sundown on a summer’s evening. All the crowds had gone by this time and the only company I had was a couple of seals just to the right of the image. Thanks for viewing.
The Tour of Britain cycle race began at Penzance, Cornwall, passing the end of our lane at 11.40am. There were 5 cyclists up front, a minute or two before the main group. I was not the only photographer there as a video cameraman riding shotgun on the back of a motorcycle behind the first group.

Porthcurno beach, captured as the tide rushes in (and deceptively rapidly). The cloud in the distance was laden with heavy rain and hail and had drenched us a few minutes earlier. Thanks for viewing.

This rather beautiful granite fisherman's cottage is located in Penberth Cove near Treen. The cottage and cove make excellent subjects for photography. The cove is owned by the National Trust and has recently been used as a location for filming the BBC costume drama "Poldark".

Im Storchendorf Bergenhusen / SH sind einige Störche schon seit Ende Februar für die Brutsaison eingetroffen. An nicht so sonnigen Tagen herrscht eher geringer Flugbetrieb, die Störche sitzen oft zu zweit auf ihrem Nest und fliegen nur zu einigen Fresstouren aus. Balzrituale sind an solchen bedeckten regnerischen Tagen selten zu beobachten.
Die Zwergschwäne, die auch im Februar bis in den März hinein in der EIDER-TREENE-SORGE-Niederung zu sehen sind, sind allerdings schon auf ihrem Flug in die arktische Tundra Sibiriens unterwegs. Nur wenige kleine Trupps waren noch zu entdecken.

ROCK 503927 GBSR at Laurenburg SC on 7-23-1981. Slide is marked "New LRS Gons, ex RI". The other car number is not clear, beyond "50390?) and they are coupled to LRS 7256. An El Reno October 1978 or 1979 shop date is visible on the 503927. I have not tracked down any history of these prior to rebuilding into covered coil cars, or any of their use on the LRS. Bergenhusen, das Storchendorf in der Eider-Treene-Sorgeniederung ist von einer abwechslungsreichen Landschaft umgeben. Moore, Wiesen und Weisen dominieren diese vogelreiche Landschaft.
Bergenhusen wird das Storchendorf genannt. Rund 20 Paare brüten dort jedes Jahr

Land's End is a very special part of Cornwall, where away from the tourist spots little changes, and a bewitching sense of timeless charm slows time to a snail's pace. We have a book called Classic Walks Cornwall, from which we chose the circular walk starting from the Logan's Rock Inn, to Penberth Cove, along the (rather muddy) coast path, pausing above the beautiful white sand beach at Porthcurno for a picnic before crossing to the Minack Theatre, visiting the Church at St Levan, before making our way back across fields to Treen. Along the way we saw honesty, primroses, violets, bluebells and celandines. Apart from a short rain shower the sun was out, the gorse in flower, and it was a beautiful spring day.
