The coastline around Treen in southwest Cornwall is so photogenic and the changing colours never fail to disappoint. Here, I waded through the shallow waters as the tide began to turn in an attempt to capture the tropical-looking scene. Thanks for looking.

Also known as Wheal Treen and a former copper Mine which seems to have worked two intersecting lodes in metamorphosed killas country. There are no plans of the workings which are said to go beneath the sea. The only record of output is from 1853 when 25 tons of 12% copper were found.

Some shafts and the ruined engine house can be seen on the cliff below the old Coastguard Station.

With John Treen at the throttle, original Susquehanna GP18 No. 1800 pulls a seven car cut past the old scale track in the yard along Eldredge Street in Binghamton. The date is 10 September 1982, the inaugural year of NYS&W's Northern Division expansion encompassing ex-DL&W branch line trackage shed by Conrail.

Logans Rock Cornwall U.K

Track/Blend/pano

I headed out Sunday evening to do some astro and decided not to walk far and photograph Logan's rock. I didn't think it would come out to well being on the east side where the Milky Way would be sitting just above it but I'm really pleased

with the end result. The rock looks like a Stegosaurus from this angle :)

With a trio of GMD SD40s sandwiching a GP38, CP 3BAL-30 crawls to a stop at Tamarack to let 199 jump ahead for the trip to Portage. Though restricted to work trains and locals, seeing these SD40s make a comeback in 2020 has been quite the sight and something you cant get tired of

After Walter Rich combed the Utica branch from Binghamton to Utica with a non revenue run with NYS&W C420 #2002 after taking over the line from Conrail, John Treen came north two days later with GP18 #1800 and revenue loads bound for Norwich and Sherburne. The 1800 became the staple south end power for much of the year.
