This week I decided to embrace the close up and personal challenge in 52 weeks. I did these paw shots for both Eva and Agnes using a macro extension tube and my 70-200 lens. I had to lie on the floor and use manual focus for these shots. The biggest problem was that my subjects were not as still as would be suggested by these shots.
He's a very spoiled cat, but considering the pest control efforts he puts in this is probably deserved.

(Because I was looking for a picture of her toebeans, couldn't find it, and am therefore sharing these and tagging the heck out of them, so hopefully it won't be a problem in the future!)
Jane is asleep on her "office bed" with one foot sticking out. Giving me a great opportunity to study her toes. While I know she has some pale toes and some black, looking closely I see one toe with mostly black and a tiny hint of pale flesh.
Nikon D800 Zeiss Milvus 50mm Micro f/2 @ f/5
ISO is a whopping 12,800 but by shooting RAW and using DxO Photo Lab I can preserve detail and not have a lot of noise.

Today in February's Alphabet Fun 2021, I took this photo of Blaze's toes. Three sets of toes because she stretched right before this and her other rear leg was still stretched out straight.
