Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but its sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but youre older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought Id something more to say
Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
And when I come home cold and tired
Its good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells.
Before this pandemic driven lock down , it was common sight that old men used to sit and gossip at railway platform at evening.
This is one such frame at a Railway platform near Calcutta ( Kolkata ) in the state of West Bengal in India.
The image was captured in monochrome mode of the phone camera. Slight film grain processing is applied in photoshop.

Time goes by n the blink of an eye but in the meantime enjoy all the little moments, holding a child as you rock them to sleep, making faces and funny baby noises to your infant. The sound of a rocking chair, singing lullabies, even changing diapers and burping can be on occasion to celebrate. The is one of my granddaughters. Breath deep repeat and keeping rocking to slumber land. My sandman sing me a song.

[...] Richard: "I wasted time, and now doth time waste me; For now hath time made me his numbering clock: My thoughts are minutes; and with sighs they jar; Their watches on unto mine eyes, the outward watch, Whereto my finger, like a dial's point, Is pointing still, in cleansing them from tears. Now sir, the sound that tells what hour it is Are clamorous groans, which strike upon my heart, Which is the bell: so sighs and tears and groans Show minutes, times, and hours" [...]

Not very many of the dogs at the daycare get their own snacks. A few are on special diets and the puppies normally bring their own bag lunches but for the most part they go the whole day without eating.
To add a little bit of excitement to the day, and to distract them from my own lunch break, I started chopping up carrots (3-4) and giving them to the dogs as a special treat. I think they like "carrot time" quite a bit.

Douglas C-117 Super Gooneybird
Pima Air & Space Museum (Tucson, Arizona)
This Douglas C-117 Super Gooneybird airplane was painted by German-born, Brooklyn-based identical twins How and Nosm. The plane has been decorated with the artists’ typical strong black, white and red color scheme. How and Nosm have named this artwork “Time Flies By.”

Time flies like an arrow but fruit flies like a banana. This Teignmouth business seems to do well, selling things from past times, flying or not.
Such a different look shooting flowers at night with the building lights in the background. I would have liked to have my tripod but maybe I’ll go back next time with it.
Second time I've owned this skirt. I bought it from Debenham's a few years back and it ended up being recycled for a reason I cannot remember. When I recently saw it being sold on ebay I decided I had to have it again.

I'm often told off for not doing enough painting or drawing (aren't i Dave?!), but there's never enough time to sit down and just indulge (and then there's all the setting up and clearing up after - I'm rather lazy!) But I was stuck at home on my day off, waiting for a roofer to fix a leak (that annoying drips into Matt's bedroom!), so I decided to get my pencils out for a change!
He's growing before our very eyes.
