I have been looking through my images from a trip to NZ late last year and have finally coming around to processing them.
On our way back through Lake Tekapo I thought of trying to incorporate the 70-200mm into a landscape scene and compress the background giving the object a 3D feel. Jay and I parked the campervan right in the middle of the road and with no one else around we reeled off a couple of shots with the mountains behind the church and that beautiful golden morning light. Considering the night before was crawling with people it was nice to get some alone time with this beautiful place.
The funny thing was that we both didn't get out of the camper van, so technically it was a drive by shooting :)
Sometimes we like to combine colours sometimes is mono-chromatic. This time, just white, was a success

Well its not the first time I have captured ghosts in my shots. Check out my first comment to see the other shot with ghosts but this is different in 2 ways
1. The ghost in this case is me :))
2. In my previous shot, I selectively colored the ghosts and kept everything in B&W .. in this one I did the inverse. That's me in B&W, keeping everything else in its natural color.
I wanted to depict something like time travel, where I've been transported to this different era and am gazing at these marvelous structures in amazement.
I got this from my last weeks trip to Golconda fort in Hyderabad. I loved this part of the fort and although it looks quite bright in this shot, it was a very dark place so I had to use long exposure of 8 seconds to get this much light into the frame. I ran and stood there for 4 of those 8 seconds to get the ghosting effect.
Hope you guys have a enjoyable weekend. I'm planning to go out again for a photowalk, will keep you guys posted. Have fun everybody!
{4/52: A different perspective} My 2.5 year old daughter prefers to just wear her "unnerwears". I love how she sits in her special chair and hate that she's going to be too big some day.
A short break from the barnies today with a look back at this little fella.
I had hoped to spend more time watching this beauty, but sadly it wasn't to be.
Here he is setting back out in search of even further prey. Having already dispatched several fish, more were to come to a similar fate.
Otter watching has to be one of the best wildlife experiences and certainly brightened up a cold wet January morning.
We were lucky enough to be entertained by him for over an hour, as he made his way through the local fish population.

Many thanks to all those who take the time to comment on my photos. It is truly appreciated.

The race route provided quiet roads with flowing bends to enjoy. I wonder did it mask the effort required to race against the clock !
Glamor naughty Barbie portrait. Makeup by Amanda Richards. Have a lovely weekend, stay safe and comment if you like the look.

Never far from water, the Steller’s sea eagle displays impressive fishing skills. Taking advantage of warm updrafts of air, the eagle glides above the water, looking out for fish. Its favorite prey, the salmon, has an extremely tough skin for which the eagle is equipped with a specialized hatchet-like beak.
In addition to diving from above, the sea eagle will also stand in the water and grab fish as they swim by.
If given the chance, Steller’s sea eagles will steal food from other birds.

Wishing you all a Happy Bokeh Wednesday Good Night! Hugs and thanks so much!
That time of the year when I'm able to get outside more for photos. Still a bit cool, but nice and sunny, and I think that outfits usually look better in photos taken outside in natural lighting.
The skirt is being puffed out a bit my the petticoats and the turbulent air.
Finalmente o recesso chegou \o/
Tenham todos uma ótima semana!
Beijos! ♥

I love just dressing as a smart housewife and relaxing around the house in a nice blouse and pretty spotty skirt. And good to pop out, too, in a smart mac with handbag and brolly. Its so good putting the look together and just being that woman for as long as possible.
