Tick Tock! Tick Tock! No time is wasted!
I love to capture this by applying a 6 seconds long exposure shot.

The bite of the lone star tick can cause a person to develop alpha-gal meat allergy or a number of other nasty diseases. It's not all fun and games out in the field.
A couple of family heirlooms. On the left is an 1885 Waltham that still keeps pretty good time. The one on the right is from 1912 and may be an American, having a brain fart at the moment on that one. Both belonged to my great grandfather. The 'chain' on the right watch is made from my great grandmothers' hair.

Waxwing at Marple, Stockport. Thanks to Pete at Stockport Birdwatching Society who told us at a meeting the night before that about 14 had been seen the previous 3 mornings. We decided to try and find them and succeeded at about 10am. I counted at least 24 birds and by 10.10 they had all flown. A very fortuitous series of events.
I don't mean this nastily but Giz lives up to this title and needs to be thoroughly inspected after every walk despite wifey covering him with anti-tick spray etc. I guess they love hime as much as we do!

Thanks for looking. I appreciate feedback!
Few of the puffins on Saltees island had bad tick infection. I counted 7 ticks jut on this side of this wee bird. Also the beak was pealing. That weird grey rubber like stuff around its eyes were destroyed Hope it is natural and when they are done with nesting ticks will come out , and the wee puffin get stronger on the sea with the fish diet
Short story: new job, new/old town, less time for early morning macro shooting and... some new equipment to play with. Yesterday morning was my first field trip to a new place - not the best, not the worst but I'm happy I've had time to photograph again.
This tick was one of the few subjects I've managed to find. There were 39 natural light exposures at ISO 100 made with Sony NEX-7, Novoflex BALPRO 1 bellows and Olympus Zuiko Auto-1:1 Macro Lens 80mm f/4.
I've been working with the Olympus 80 mm lens since mid-last year and I'm very happy with its performance. I've only used on APSC sensors and the performance is really good! The Novoflex BALPRO 1 bellows is a new acquisition and I'm just starting to work with it, yet the impressions are already positive!
Spend your time wisely.

I had a recent scare with ticks a couple weekends ago and it's been preventing me from taking photos, so these were taken from my balcony last night! Fingers crossed I will get back out there again soon. It's been killing meeeee! Any advice to overcome this fear? Due to the mild winter, it looks like this is gearing up to be a tick-filled year. :(
