I think this is one of my favorite shots of my daughter. This was taken in April 2003 when she had just turned 5 years old...the innocence in those beautiful big eyes. :)

There's street photography and then there is beach photography. This is my street photography.... Or Candids on the beach!!!

I think like a lot of people when I saw this patterns from Kay (Mason-Dixon), I fell in love. Then I saw Chawne's version and I was sold. Bonus that purchasing this helps Japan.

I think that this is one of my favorite HDRs yet. There are a few issues that I need to go back one night and fix:

- take off my UV filter to get rid of the reflected light artifacts

- use a much small aperture to sharpen the image up

- level out the tripod a little bit better.

- get a shot with the trees in full bloom

However, I look forward to possibly printing something like this out as a poster.

I wonder how old this is

This is part of a series of double exposures shot in two different pinhole cameras in two different countries by two different photographers.

The Old Penfold came up with this idea of doing pinhole swaps and created a group dedicated to the cause; check it out here: www.flickr.com/groups/pinhole-film-swap/

Here's how the process works. The first shots were taken in Norwich, a town in the East Anglia region of England near the coast. The film was rerolled and mailed to me in Barcelona, Sapin for the second shots, the doubles.

Both shots were taken with 6x6 pinhole cameras loaded with Fuji Reala 100. Exposure details were not provided by The Old Penfold...much of the fun is not knowing what the first shots were so there's no trying to match/contrast images. The results are sometimes quite surprising.

I hope you enjoy them!

Think in ways you've never thought before.

If the phone rings, think of it as carrying a message

Larger than anything you've ever heard,

Vaster than a hundred lines of Yeats.

Think that someone may bring a bear to your door,

Maybe wounded and deranged; or think that a moose

Has risen out of the lake, and he's carrying on his antlers

A child of your own whom you've never seen.

When someone knocks on the door,

Think that he's about

To give you something large: tell you you're forgiven,

Or that it's not necessary to work all the time,

Or that it's been decided that if you lie down no one will die.
