This unique documentary about the Seafarers International Union, based at the time in Brooklyn, New York (now in MD) was thought lost for decades, but is now available for purchase at Amazon.com. Le Timberline Lodge a été construit en 1936-1937 sur les hauteurs (1817 m d’altitude) du mont Hood, en Oregon. En 1977, il était classé monument historique. Puis en 1980, on l’utilisait pour les scènes extérieures du film The Shining.

The Stanley Hotel is a 142-room Colonial Revival hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. Approximately five miles from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, the Stanley offers panoramic views of Lake Estes, the Rockies and especially Long's Peak. It was built by Freelan Oscar Stanley of Stanley Steamer fame and opened on July 4, 1909, catering to the American upper class at the turn of the century. The hotel and its surrounding structures are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Stanley Hotel hosted the horror novelist Stephen King, serving as inspiration for the Overlook Hotel in his 1977 bestseller The Shining and its 1980 film adaption of the same name. Today, it includes a restaurant, spa, and bed-and-breakfast and provides guided tours.

This is from when I went to the Homestead hotel in Hot Springs Virginia. I was bored and went back and edited some old pictures I meant to edit and never got around to.
At the time I went I had never seen "The Shining". Having seen it now, that place was a dead ringer for the hotel in the movie. I'm glad I didn't know or I would've been freaked out.
Sanatorio de Agramonte.
El Sanatorio Antituberculoso de Agramonte (Zaragoza, España) es un antiguo hospital situado a las faldas del monte Moncayo.
Se empezó a construir en los años 1920 por iniciativa del Gobierno. Una vez terminado en el año 1930, se destinó en un principio a centro de descanso para las familias pudientes de la época, pero al empezar la Guerra civil en 1936, quedó abandonado hasta el fin de la guerra. En 1939, las Hermanas de la Caridad de Santa Ana, se hicieron cargo del edificio, instaurando el "Sanatorio Antituberculoso de Agramonte". Sus moradores fueron mayoritariamente mujeres y niños, aunque al final también hubo hombres. Allí cada día luchaban por vencer a la tuberculosis, y la mayoría con el tratamiento médico y la situación geográfica cerca del Moncayo lograron curarse.
En el mes de Octubre de 1978, después de 40 años en activo, el Sanatorio cesó su actividad, se cerró el hospital y el lugar quedó totalmente vació y en silencio, a merced de los vándalos y visitado por otras personas fascinadas por la belleza y el misterio de aquel lugar.
Desde hace años, muchos investigadores han acudido al viejo Sanatorio para inspeccionarlo y han descubierto psicofonías y fenómenos paranormales.
