The Parliament House, Riksdagshuset, is the seat of The Parliament of Sweden and located on Helgeandsholmen in central Stockholm.
The building was designed by Architect Aron Johansson and built between 1897 and 1905. When it was opened it replaced the old Parliament House on Riddarholmen. The building was originally constructed to house both The Parliament and The Swedish National Bank.
In 1971 it was decided that the bank part of the building was to be rebuilt into a new assembly hall for The Parliament. An architectural competition was won by the architectural firm Ahlgren-Olsson-Silow Arkitekter AB. The largest outwardly visible change was the copper-clad body of the old National Bank with the new chamber. The rebuilt building was inaugurated in October 1983.
The Parliament House is the seat of the parliament of Sweden, the Riksdag. It is located on nearly half of Helgeandsholmen (island), in the Gamla stan (old town) district of central Stockholm.
The building complex was designed by Aron Johansson in the Neoclassical style, with a centered Baroque Revival style facade section. Parliament House was constructed between 1897 and 1905.

The complex was built between 1895 and 1904 according to drawings by architect Aron Johansson, and also included a building for the Swedish Centralbank in the western part.
The latter have since then moved up to Brunkebergstorg.
After the reconstruction and extension in 1980–1983, the Riksdag also has the old part of the Riksdag at its disposal.
The reconstruction was carried out by Ahlgren-Olsson-Silow Arkitektkontor AB.
The building has a blue label from the Stockholm City Museum, which is the highest class and means "that the building is considered to have exceptionally high cultural and historical values".
