this is a model of the 4v version of plywood 6v model in Anthony Pugh's An Introduction to Tensegrity page 67. (whole book is available on google books search for it). John Warren also made some fantastic models of this design.
The Kurilpa Bridge (originally known as the Tank Street Bridge) is a $63 million pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Brisbane River in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
The bridge connects Kurilpa Point in South Brisbane to Tank Street in the Brisbane central business district.
Kurilpa Bridge is the world’s largest tensegrity bridge and was opened on the 4th October 2009 by Queensland Premier Anna Bligh.

Coral, Swarovski Crystal, Moss agate, palladium, Quartz crystal ball beads, rose quartz, matsuno, and miyuki. As always, fishing line only. No wire, or glue. Lots of knots. Very durable and solid. You might even be able to use it as a weapon. lol.

Upper guylines are tensioned with prussik loops backed by a figure-eight knot on the guyline itself. The figure-eight made it easy to get the thing upright, and will back up a prussik if it fails, but from here on out the prussiks are doing all the work.
And yes, tensioning the prussiks so that it stood symmetrically felt a little like tuning my guitar.
