On November 16, 2008, I happen to be walking down the hallway of the West wing past my old office (421ww) and saw Drs. Angela Lewis and Colin Benjamin together in what was now Lewis' office. I thought it was serendipitous since I was carrying my camera and they were both together in my former office. What made this shot interesting for me was that before I moved into the office, it was Dr. Benjamin's office. I am just sorry that I didn't find someone to take a picture of the three of us together. It would surely have been memorable because in less than two months, Dr. Benjamin would die of a sudden heart attack.

After our Welsh holiday we traveled down to visit my mother in Henley.
Henley on Thames is a wonderful town and is host to one of the worlds most important international regatta's.
These two are obviously practicing.
And they had a little slider help from me.

Yes , this was a moment where the Synchronicity of Life came together in a magnificent crescendo...... definitely "Sapo" for me. There were several others in our trip to Seattle to meet other Fanmencos and Flickrites and to see Ottmar Liebert...

This is not a photoshop creation. It is a photograph and has not been retouched except for global contrast (curves) adjustments, cropping, and it's been turned upside down. Not even Douglas Adams’ computer ‘Deep Thought’ could calculate the coincidences that occurred to create this image. These are titles I've considered

I have no idea which is best or if some other title would be better. Please help me and pick one of my titles or suggest one of your own. Please view large before deciding.
Thank you all for the help. The official title will be "Splash"
I left lots of clues and most everybody knew that is the moon and the splashy stuff is part of a fireworks burst. Not only was the moon in just the right spot to line up with the fireworks, but it was in exactly the right phase to nestle in to the plume.

Another shot from the beach trip. It might have been a better shot if I was not in a moving car but not bad nonetheless.

When we met
on the bridge that night
you told me
you were just about
to jump, and I cried to see
you so destitute.
Was it synchronicity
that caused our paths to cross;
that changed
impending doom and loss
into the love
that we now share?

When I got up to the top of the complex by car, I realized that it was fashionable to go on foot only by elevator. But he was hidden behind the door, which I did not immediately find ... What was behind the door made my hand reach for the camera ...
According to C G Jung's studies, synchronicity manifests itself everywhere in a few hours the world will be shown events on television .... On April 15, 2019, there was a strong fire in the cathedral which caused the loss of the spire, the clock and the roof. The framework of the building was saved .French architect Jean-Michel Wilmott said that the cost of restoring the burnt-out Notre Dame de Paris would be about one billion euros .
A portrait taken by my sister.
Syncronicity: the simultaneous occurrence of events which appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection.
Actual sigh of frustration was randomly captured in this photograph. Without any conscious decision, but with a perfect timing. That's why i love it.

For an alternative angle on railway photography, why not take a look at the Phoenix website:
The latest edition of the Phoenix Railway Photographic Circle Journal can be found at:
This is the first time that I've ever taken THREE consecutive shots that turned out to be synchronised. The shots were taken at the limit of my zoom lens too and fairly unbelievably, I couldn't see what I was taking as the sun was shining on my screen. It would seem nonsensical not to upload all three photos together, one after the other.
The 5th and final image in the "Frame by Frame" Challenge initiated by Paul B0udreau. We each created pieces connected to the songs and instrumentals of the rather dark and powerful progressive rock band King Crimson. Then we posted them alternately back and forth, often not knowing which song the other was going to chose. There were a few synchronicities, which was fun.
At the outset Paul had suggested that the images be in the "portrait" format and I took that word a step further and decided to work with my own face ( for convenience mostly ) and created some "portraits" in the challenge. Working with "portraits" I then thought it fit if I wrapped them each in a picture frame, like formal salon paintings - "Frame by Frame".
King Crimson's music is NOT for everyone, not by a long shot and so I'm confident that not a lot of people were really keen on the music links. As an artist though, I find it periodically VERY beneficial to step off my main track and produce work that's, perhaps, a bit more rigorous, sometimes dark, or just plain right off the wall. It helps me to stretch my range.
The song, "Red", is dark and very heavy but I chose not to be so dark in the image. It is intense, as the original Crimson album cover ( the back ) from which this song hails, suggests - a meter going into the "red". But my image doesn't intend to be so "apocalyptic". It also frames the series, connecting back to the first submission, "Sex Sleep Eat Drink Dream" both in format and in theme.
I want to thank Paul for coming up with this wonderful two-person challenge. His pieces in the series are beautifully composed and full of light, a wonderful counterpoint to mine.
