I spotted this symmetry in the coupling between carriages of a High Speed Azuma train at Newark Northgate station the other day. I thought that it would look better in monochrome, so the brain would concentrate on the symmetry of the scene.

Took a bit of artistic freedom to create this symmetry. This is a photo of the same juvenile male Ruby-throated Hummingbird on the same plant (Turtlehead). The bird first landed on the right side of the plant, rested on a leaf while drinking nectar from the flower. Then it flew to the left and did the same with another flower. I joined two opposite halves of two frames, taken 10 seconds apart, to create this symmetrical pose. Downsview Dells Park, Toronto.
I recently read where capturing the symmetry in nature is a good way to make macro interesting. I am always amazed by the symmetrical design in God's creation.
The MM theme for 6/3 is symmetry. This is a dragon’s head. Size verification later... It's actually just under 2cm
Surprise, surprise- I’m going with this one for the MM posting!! Methinks it has the best details, is the most original, and is the best close up! And it’s not even blue!!
(Btw, the yellow highlights on his cheekbones came from the cloth he was sitting on!! Isn’t that something?)
Cool!!……💙 HMM 💙
OR IS IT??? It's hard to believe that I took this shot only 20 minutes after the Twilight Zone shot. This is in the opposite direction and the fog had burned off significantly.
What a beautiful sunrise this morning! I bought a new Tokina 12-24 yesterday, so I had to go try it out this morning.
