I was at a dark sky location to photograph the Lunar Eclipse of 5-15-22. I set up one camera to do long exposures near Scorpius.
During my long exposures, I caught a few Sprites above a distant Thunderstorm 200 miles away. I also saw a third set of Sprites naked eye off camera.
5/15/22, 10:06pm, Nikon D750, 20 seconds, F/3.2, 3200-ISO, 105mm focal length. Sky tracked on an Ioptron CEM26 mount.

1959 Austin-Healey Sprite Ashley GT (with 1275cc engine fitted) with 1963 Austin-Healey Sprite Mk.1 (1098cc). The Ashley started life as a "Frog-eye" (or "Bug-eye") Sprite and now has a passing resemblance to a Sebring Sprite.

Photos from Friday night's run before my car (on the left) decided to start running like complete crap.
3 separate squall lines over the SE Aegean sea, were producing TLEs all night long, during the night of Dec. 4, 2021. This is one of my favorites from that night. This one produced a "green ghost" too. Green "ghosts" are thought to be green emissions from excitation of atomic oxygen, on top of big sprite events. All these TLEs appear, under specific circumstances, above active thunderstorms. On this night, more than 300 events were recorded. Surely one of the nights to remember. Sprite Lake, Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Washington.
This image is part of my Washington set.
We used Leprechaun Lake as a base camp while exploring the Enchantment Lakes section of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. This image was made at Sprite Lake on our second of four days in the backcountry. The larch was in full splendor throughout these granite basins but thinned considerably as we climbed to Aasgard Pass.
This is a blend of two single exposures made with a Nikon D7K and Tokina 11-16mm.

My brother gave me Soda Fountain stickers several years ago when I was collecting Coke memorabilia. I finally put them to good use.
The trucks were built using directions for the following set:

Some minor changes here and there to allow for aligning the color of the truck with the color of the soda brand and I now have 4 soda trucks to deliver carbonated wonders to the population of my LEGO city.

10Aug2013: Replaced with a better white balanced version. Now you can see the blue in the lower tendrils of the sprite better.
14Aug2013: Went back to the original version. I just don't know which I like better.
They don't look right next to each other, because Mei's (left) body looks much older than Sprite's(right), but is a bit smaller. Sprite wears MSD clothes, while Mei wears fashion doll clothes.
Featuring a custom front end. Odd that it was first registered in 1984.
