I pulled into my local gas station to get gas this morning. The station has a row of ornamental crab apple trees. They were filled with cedar waxwings that were enjoying the fruit. My appearance did not seem to bother the hungry birds. Most stayed put as long as I didn't approach too closely. Luckily, I had my camera.

On the way back to Yosemite for a second day my friends and I decided to stop and smell the roses along the way this time. This Almond orchard was one such stop.
The orderly rows of soft pink blossoms were too enticing to pass by. I'd like to go back at the end of the week to see how it looks, but with a storm approaching tomorrow I may not get the chance.

Spring Blossoms, Happy Bengali new year 1419
The weather is changing, the apple tree in our backyard is filled with beautiful blossoms. After a small shower, they looked so fresh and beautiful.
This week also happnes to be our new year - we call Poila Boishak, year 1419.
Year’s end is neither an end
nor a beginning
but a going on,
with all the wisdom
that experience
can instill in us.
