The setting for parts of Series 6 of Peaky Blinders.
Portsoy Harbour comprises two small single basins formed by masonry piers. The Old or West Harbour, thought to date from 1692, has a quay wall of vertically set masonry.
I have no idea what these flowers are. If someone knows, please tell me. I found them on a short photo walk and would have asked the homeowner but they weren't around.

Our intent was to visit Hopewell lake just off NM Hwy 64 but before we got there we came across this spectacular view of the Brazos cliffs.
It was obviously in between seasons, the fall colors had completely disappeared but winter wasn't really here yet either, despite the little bit of snow visible here.
But the temperatures left no doubt which season we're heading into, it was bitterly cold up there, at 10300 feet. Gloves were in order which we of course didn't have with us. I'm sure the sorry looking clump of grass that I used as a foreground was a lot more attractive during the summer, possibly "decorated" with some wildflowers.
It was more of a scouting trip and we will definitely be back at different times of the year.

Malham Cove is a huge curving amphitheatre shaped cliff formation of limestone rock.
The vertical face of the cliff is about 260 feet high. The top of the cove is a large area of deeply eroded limestone pavement.

Since 1985, the Penang Bridge has stretched like a silver thread over the strait, binding island and mainland, past and present. For newcomers, it’s a breathtaking path over blue waters; for those who know it well, each crossing is a quiet return to familiar shores, where memories ride the wind.
Overlooking Old Dornie and the Summer Isles with the Torridon Mountains beyond from Altandhu just as the light was fading.

A lovely sunset on a hazy evening overlooking Cambusmore Quarry.
The site has been active for 20 years, and much of the main area is now worked out. As you’d expect water bodies and wetland areas now cover quite large areas of the site. There’s a main lake that is used for angling, alongside several settling ponds. Some areas are being reforested with a mix of species.
A favorite flower in my last garden, taken in August, but still flowering now!

Not sure what butterfly this is, who knows?
I liked the wings in the backlight, but I did not manage to get it sharp, before it flew away.

Indeed, I had no idea at what I was looking at, but I was prompted to take a picture!
I saw this at the day we were invited to watch the demolition of the old building, at the place where they are going to build my new appartment building.

Teddy is all about forbidden spaces. We keep him out of bedrooms as he tends to be a little thief, but he never misses an opportunity when presented. We’ve been redecorating a small bedroom and there is absolutely nothing in it of interest to Teddy. But this morning I opened the door for just a second - and got this….Looking seriously pleased with himself. He posed all over the room
Somehow some of our flowers have survived Teddy and Echo charging through the beds. We gave up on the fencing as Teddy was just charging through them and we were afraid he would hurt himself. Cheers to the survivors!
The A93 is the highest public road in the United Kingdom. It runs north from Perth through Blairgowrie and Rattray, then through the Grampian Mountains by way of Glenshee, the Cairnwell Pass and Glen Clunie to Braemar in Aberdeenshire.
The Snow Gates at Braemar are closed in this image due to snow drifts further up the Glen with queues of cars, lorries and vans waiting patiently to get through
Cycling the Dava Way with the high Cairngorm Mountains beyond.
The Dava Way is a walking and cycling path which generally follows the course of the former railway line between Grantown-on-Spey and Forres.
