This one seemed to turn out well, but once I was done with the hands and the head... well meh. I'll be trying another pose in a larger scale later. on.
Lake Crescent was nearly as smooth as glass. Unfortunately, it was cloudy so the colors and reflections are not as vibrant as they could have been.

About:
Just got back from a 3 day workshop on Hvaler, a small island in the Oslo fjord. This is what it looks like on the Oslo Fjord 23:30 at midsummer, fantastic! The water was smooth the horizon flaming and I was trying to clam the camera tight to the rear of the boat going 30 knots, capturing the wake behind the boat :)
It's been some busy days, I have a lot to catch up on here on Flickr :))
Discussion
Comments and critique are as always welcome. Let me hear your opinion, why do you like this, or even better, how would you approach this scenery. Give me your thoughts... If you can't find anything to critique, a simple "nice" is cool too :))
Thanks
In and out of Explore, thanks to all for comments and faves :))

Its amazing what water can do over time. These rocks were so smooth, and slippery, and resulted in the first fall of my trip. But the camera was saved!

There are plenty of similar-looking asters, especially for a novice like me. Hope I ID'd the species correctly for the one in this photo.

This 8 minute exposure of the late evening is interesting with the nice tones and colors still in the sky. I also like the ice out on the middle of Middle River (ha ha) and then the strong winds blowing on the close in water around the pier that ends up being smoothed out by the long exposure.
At this point in the evening was dark enought for the 8 minutes at f11 with the 17/40mm lens. I really also like the light bursts that this lens produces at f/11.
If you look above that green light that is across the river, in the sky you can see some light trails ... these are from helicopters over Baltimore City ... most like Maryland State Police or Batlimore City Police trying to catch somebody.
