Spring brings out the very best in Nature. Beauty becomes “Smooth” and it’s almost a shame the season isn’t at least twice as long as it is. I don’t ever get bored with beauty. Nature always produces an abundance of subjects to capture. Gratitude and Kindness are a part of our emotional response to Nature no matter the season.

While in Ontario, we went to an antique store, and Monique bought this old toy car, and we all took turns photographing it. I had so much fun putting it in different places and positions and wondered who played with it the first time...
This red tailed hawk had taken off from a tall perch, and was making slow circles over the area. Near Commonwealth Lake.

Crotophaga ani (Smooth-billed Ani / Garrapatero)
The Smooth-billed Ani is a widespread resident of scrub and forest clearings from the Caribbean and Costa Rica south to Uruguay and northern Argentina; it also occurs in south Florida, although the population there has declined significantly there in recent years. Smooth-billed Anis live in small flocks and eat a variety of insects, small vertebrates and fruit.

This storm was preceded by spectacular altocumulus asperitas clouds. Some of the smooth structures are still visible in this photo as well.
The thunderstorm was a joy to behold and photograph.
