Skywatcher Evostar 90, 90mm aperture, 910mm focal length (giving f/10.1), air-spaced two-element achromatic refractor on an altazimuth mount (AZ-3). Good for viewing (and imaging) the planets. A present for my beloved mum who always wanted to see the planets up close for herself. :-D xxxx
Image obtained in a light polluted suburban garden in Widnes, Cheshire, England, using a second hand Skywatcher 130/900 telescope, a cheap webcam, and some free software obtained from the internet.

Taken with a Skywatcher F8 6 inch Refractor and a Olympus E410 DSLR at prime focus. ( 1200mm ) The sun was low down as approaching sunset so seeing a bit turbulent. Stacked best 25 out of 40 in Registax 6 after processing jpg's in PIPP first. Sounds a lot, but only takes 10 mins for the entire process

Purchase from modern astronomy at the International astronomy show was planning on getting a HEQ6 mount put after comparing it with the EQ6-GT and taking to various sellers decided to go with the newer mount because of the improvement made on the older model plus this has to last a long time.
Another test.. This time of my new Skywatcher 150PDS Newtonian. I quite like it despite the fact that I decided to collimate everything possible on it and with it being my first crack at collimating a newt I think there is lots of room for improvement, quite encouraging really.
Didn't spend too much time on framing or being so precise as I knew my collimation was slightly out, hence catching the tail end of NGC1499.

Decided to bite the bullet and put the CGE Pro mount back to work...it seems to be running well
At 72 pounds,and700$ ...this big Newtonian is a mixture of good and bad...
Good in that it can do excellent and fast work...
and its cheap.
Bad in that the thing is heavy as blazes, blows around easily,...the focuser is indifferent, and the camera and finder scope are sometimes 8 feet in the air...(!)
This is my new telescope. I started digiscoping with it. My latest wildlife photos were all taken with this telescope. You can take photos of animals from quite a distance and you don't disturb the animals. The focal lenth of this equipment is 1200mm. I can extend to 1800mm.
