I am excited to see that we have a few rose seedlings which I grew from the seeds of Autumn rose hips... I have previously tried unsuccessfully to raise them by complicated means but this time I struck luck by just opening a hip and sticking the seeds into potting mix at the base of a pot. I planted over 30 seeds, of which 11 seedlings sprouted, two having now obtained the 2nd pair of true leaves.

These are growing on my window. We are still having snow on the ground so there's good time for these to get big before june when they are going out to garden.

The seedlings are grown seperately in our nurseries, before we collect them together to plant them. Importantly our farm allows us to provide employment for workers who others would not employ as they become too old as well as for the stronger younger people.
