Space Garden

Space...the final frontier! Huntsville is known as the "Rocket City" because we have been leaders in space exploration for more than 50 years!

Pretend to be an astronaut in a real Space Station training node.

Can you name all the planets in our solar system? are we the only planet with living organisms?

Yellow-bellied Slider

In yellow-bellied sliders the carapace is typically brown and black, often with yellow stripes. The skin is olive green with prominent yellow stripes. There is an “S” shaped stripe on each side of the face. The plastron is mostly yellow with green spots along the edges. The yellow plastron is where the yellow-bellied slider gets its name. Adult males tend to darken with age.
