Since this a convertible, I figured I'd try my hand at spicing up interior details. The initial interior paint came out a bit dry and textured, so after I flocked the floors, I decided to scrap the work and try it again. Here, I've sanded down the interior a bit, removed most of the white embossing powder used for carpeting, and have started adding some extra detail on the front seats.

Scale model goodness converged at the UP College of Fine Arts for the pre-Nationals Photoshoot of IPMS Philippines Bert Anido, in preparation for the 7th National Scale Modeling Competition this November.

Unfortunately I failed to take any good general views of the 'real thing' on either of the visits I made to Woody Bay station on the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway, so I was very pleased to see this scale model at the 'Gauge 1 North' show in Bakewell on July 15 2023. I'm not sure of the scale but it is probably compatible with 16mm layouts (i.e. 16mm to the foot, or 1:19 scale) and intended for outdoor use like garden model railways (see label attached to roof of the model)..
This was one of three L&BR stations built in so-called 'Swiss Chalet style' though it doesn't bear much resemblance to most Swiss chalets I'm familiar with. Nevertheless, the architecture is attractive and distinctive especially for railway architecture..
(Although the model was on show in Bakewell, Derbyshire, I have georeferenced it at Woody Bay station in North Devon.)
