Sorry for the late post. I decided to take a walk along the Rouge Beach Park to take some pictures since it was such a nice day. So, here’s another panorama picture.
I would like to dedicate this to dbondocoy . Thank you so much for teaching me. The reason why I dedicate my second panorama to you and not the first one is because first is the worst, second is the best! : ) I’m sure you’ve heard of that saying before. Enjoy!
Hope you all have a great start to the week!!

Finally, nice weather! Well, at least for one day. With temperatures hitting 7°, I took out my camera and headed to the mouth of the Rouge River for a walk in the park. I'll be posting the photos over the next couple of days.
It felt really good to get lost again!
I inched closer to the same man reading alongside the water (see pic below), and fired a few more shots.

It's a little tilted - i'll have to work on that as other shots of mine display the same fault. Maybe that's what too many abstract shots do as there are no rules; therefore, not enough practice paying attention to how level the image/horizon are.

Sundown in the Paris of the prairies
Wheat kings have all their treasures buried
And all you hear are the rusty breezes
Pushing around the weather vane Jesus
In his Zippo lighter, he sees the killer's face
Maybe it's someone standing in a killer's place
Twenty years for nothing, well that's nothing new,
Besides, no one's interested in something you didn't do
Wheat kings and pretty things,
let's just see what the morning brings.
There's a dream where the high school is dead and stark
It's a museum and we're all locked up in it after dark
Where the walls are lined all yellow, grey and sinister
Hung with pictures of our parents' prime ministers
Wheat Kings and pretty things,
wait and see what tomorrow brings.
Late-breaking story on the CBC,
A nation whispers, "we always knew that he'd go free"
They add, "you can't be fond of living in the past,
'cause if you are then there's no way that you're gonna last".
Wheat Kings and pretty things
let's just see what tomorrow brings

We're now commuting in a fuel efficient Hyundai Accent Sport hatchback -- although my Envoy is not super tall, everything seems to be towering above us in the Accent. I still have the GMC Envoy though for camping weekends, and other.

After shooting the swan, a red-winged blackbird landed here. Again, about 5 shots were taken with this one coming out the best.
I walked past this without much thought. I turned and snapped a few shots anyway. Loaded it up with no excitement. Bumped up the saturation to bring out the greens. Wasn't satisfied. Turned it into b&w. I'm ok with it.

This was shot with my 24-120 and I couldn't pull the swan in any closer, so I made do with what I had and got this. 5 shots were taken -- 2 of the swan out of focus, and 2 others with the swan's head bent downwards. This one came out best.
There's this wall at the Rouge Beach Park that has water trickling down it. There likely would have been greater shallow dof had I used my 50mm 1.8, but this will have to do.

Just some chaos spotted at the park - nothing spectacular, and the bokeh is just 'ok'. It didn't work as well in colour, so b&w it is..
