A selection of essential reading to educate and inspire! Special mention for Mr David Schomer in the green, probably the most read book on this shelf!
Part of a self initiated illustrated feature I did of artisan coffee roaster Dear Green Coffee.
I did my first small exhibition in Glasgow a few years ago in Coffee, Chocolate & Tea, Lisa later went onto start this.
There's also a competition where you can get a chance to win a 6 month coffee subscription' (1 x 250g freshly roasted single farm coffee to sent to a UK address each month) by checking out my new facebook page Dear Green Coffee
I took this photo today of my brother standing near one of our Probat coffee roasters. My family has been roasting coffee now for over 25 years! Its a fun business that takes us all over the world in search of good coffee. Luckly, I get to bring a camera everywhere we go!!
This shot was taken with a Speed Graphic Pacemaker 4x5 large format camera and the infamous & amazing Kodak Aero Ektar f/2.3 barrel lens. It is an extremely fast lens producing a crazy shallow depth of field!
I used Fuji instant film on this shot.

This specialty donabe is purpose built to be a stove top roaster, but can also be used as a traditional donabe. Think earthen ware slow cooker. I need to check but I think you can also brown food in this particular donabe.
I have two other donabe, one built as a stove top smoker (works great) and the other has an insert so it can make rice.
I just got this one the other day, and have “conditioned” it so it is ready to use. Now I have to decide what to cook first. I’m thinking sweet potatoes…

The Dear Green Coffee Roastery in old Glasgow, just off the Bridgegate ('Briggait') and adjacent to the River Clyde and the old fish markets now artists studios.
