New sofa cushions, made from the Garden Party range of fabric by Anna Maria Horner.

Another Slizer revamp, this time it is Ice Slizer. I deviated a fair bit this time from the original set's vision by making the head and arms resemble a praying mantis. And although I may have changed much, I believe the changes make him contrast really well with his Fire Slizer counterpart.

Another obscure Hero Factory villain that I’ve struggled to mod for so long. The original set was so heavily engineered around the chomping action that it’s especially hard to imagine anything else. This version aims for more accurate shark proportions and a tighter color scheme. The Star Wars shoulder pads were very helpful.
Of course, this is modelled around the G2 set Akida, Creature of Water. Was really fun to follow the same instructions but use different colored parts. The proportions work out much better and it allows the back-mounted boosters to be brought forward.
It has been observed on discord that I have removed the jaw and shortened the blades. Therefore I have taken away everything that makes Jawblade… Jawblade. Please be sure to let me know where you land in this discussion.

“Holy Gadunka!”
It took me a few years to appreciate the scuba-suit motif for Nuparu, though looking back it makes a lot of sense. The flipper-like feet and stylized armor pieces made for fantastic additions and I’ve even grown to like the use of Piraka arms.
This revamp borrows heavily from a Nuparu Mahri revamp done by @the_matoran especially the legs, though I’ve added my own twist.
No love for the Aqua Blaster Blade in this household, I’m afraid. Always thought it was silly to give Nuparu a third weapon when he doesn’t have enough hands to carry them. Plus I love the shield element.
What do you think? Who will be the next revamp? Please consider leaving a thoughtful comment down below!
After putting together Lewa as my first Flickr upload and Gali for BobtheDoctor's contest at the end of last year, I've pretty much made it my mission to revamp the Phantoka/Mistika over the course of my time at Flickr. So here's the next entry, Tahu Mistika.
Tahu's Mistika mask was probably one of the most controversial of Bionicle, but in contrast, his 2016 mask is one of the best, so might as well use it here.

The new rendering for Stud.io 2 is so good that I don't want to display bricked up models anymore....
The whole squad’s here, and the six original Toa live once again with bigger, buffer designs! After revamping Tahu, I realized that he'd be pretty lonely without his team. The Bionicle storyline was often about learning to work together, respecting others even if you don't get along, and using your own strength to support others. I'm thinking that my strong sense of loyalty and duty as an adult were partly shaped by the themes and stories I loved as a child.
This is a creation I’ve been working on for quite some time, ever since the Ziontyro released these glorious custom Kraahkan Kanohi. Almost an entire year in the making!
8593 Makuta has always been a set that was near and dear to my heart, though a figure that was very quickly superseded by larger titan builds. With this revamp, my objective was to restore some of the lost height and articulation, so he can stand tall against the other titans of the BIONICLE line.
The legs in particular draw inspiration from the design of @ibukkey00 while much of the upper body design was created by @fnezj, who gave me many helpful tips during the build process.
Please let me know what you think of this creation with a thoughtful comment below!
I never did get around to taking a picture of my Ecto-1 and the one from the LEGO Ideas set. Picking a larger scale allows for far more detail.
A revamp of Lewa Nuva. He ended up a bit larger than the other Nuva designs I've made
but I still like the final verson.
This revamp is for the 2017 Bio Cup.

I wanted to revamp a system set for this first eliminatory round. Exo Force seemed like the perfect option for this. It gave me a chance to make the mech more sleek and spiderlike. This revamp should be pretty similar in size to the original. The parts concentration is larger due to the technic in it.
Though excitable and eager, Chiara is a solitary figure who prefers to act off her own merits rather than to rely on teammates.
Equipped with a Kanohi Volitak and armed with a pair of Volt-Blades, she prefers to stalk targets from the shadows and strike with ruthless efficiency.
Made for Hero February over on Instagram.
Just a fun little build primarily for my own enjoyment, made with the goal of using only pieces I currently have in my collection and of course, finishing before the end of the month.
Nitroblast and the Fire Villains are definitely a soft spot for me in the HF Roster, with some very charming sets and interesting designs from the earliest days of CCBS. With this revamp I wanted to honor the most unique and iconic features from the original, while doing my best to balance a cleaner, sleeker design with the Fire Villain's signature style of spikes, flames and jet engines.
It was a lot of fun to tackle a weirder character and design, without the pressures of more humanoid proportions and techniques.
I hope you all enjoy!

it's a hottie lol
The horn idea was part of a combo between Lava Beast and Storm Beast that was just... alright but not original.
Speaking of the original Beasts, Lava is good but has some weak connection points and Storm Beast is my fave 'cause of the functions and parts (Mmm, Metru blue... <3)
This is an older moc that I'm just uploading here. I'm not totally happy with how it came out so maybe someday I'll revisit him.
Velika is a small, very knowledgeable Inventor, being able to assist Voyatoran and Toa alike, though communication with others is difficult due to the fact he speaks in riddles.
(Body by WCP, I didn't like the limbs so I stuck to the default set limbs)
“Two hands.”
Kongu Mahri, armed with his two Cordak Blasters and plenty of attitude. For this revamp, it was especially important to carry over the bulkiness of the original set.
I've seen lots of headcanons positing that Kongu Mahri's armor was a sophisticated pressure suit designed to allow him to use his Air powers underwater, so I chose to keep as much of the broad design elements as I could. Also added an ammo belt for good measure. Look closely and you’ll see what efforts were made to accommodate the original build.
Man, photographing dark bley with a darker background is a serious pain in the ass. Tips on how to do so are greatly appreciated.
Taking an old design and revamping it. This is the evolution so far... For reference: www.flickr.com/photos/51342644@N02/4962440990/in/photostr...
Back in the day I thought the set was very plasticky and wasn’t the biggest fan. Looking back with hindsight, he seems to have aged well (if you keep the connectors intact).
The lack of a sword was always a big problem for me as it must have been cut pretty early in the design of the set but still somehow made its way into the movie and promotional material.
Arms were heavily retooled to add some much needed bulk and distance those shoulder spikes. At least now he can be posed with a lesser risk of slicing his head off. Tweaks were also made to the torso and the sword was built especially for him (Boggarak pincer had to be cut).
For the Monday weekly photo challenge. The challenge was to re-vamp a photo already submitted.
So here is Ellens flower re-vamped. I changed it to b/w using calculations, added a texture and a touch of contrast and levels in ps.
The original is below.
I was planning on uploading Izotor or Korgot... well, yesterday, but I still have a few tweaks to make and I've been busy catching up on DA tags. So you get this. I actually just bought a second Vizuna (as well as Onua and Ikir) for parts, and I realized I could do some comparison shots with my version of the Protectors. Unfortunately, Narmoto is the only other one I have duplicates of. But wow... I didn't even realize how different they were. Compared to my Nilkuu's arm cannon, the set's weapon just feels unwieldy. And I'm really happy about how much better the proportions are.
This is my entry for the Bio-Cup 2017 Set Revamp.
My revamp is on Set 8312 Jens from Galidor.
It's a big nightmare with the head, sense the contest allowed system parts only to a minimum, and with my lack of finding parts to make a good shape of Jens head, I tried using the least amount of system pieces to make the head as possible, however I cannot do anything with the back of the head. (especially sense making custom heads are my worse enemy.)
As with the rest of Jens, I tried to make it look like the set in contraction form, and whiles the torso and right forearm are custom; the rest are just simple limbs, sense there's no need to over think the design for them and there are no need to customize them.
"Shunned by their creators and hated and feared throughout the universe, the bitter, savage Zyglak retreated to the dark places of the world. There they waited, brooding over their fate and hating the Matoran and all who honored Mata Nui."
