Xplode was my first HF villain set, and I’ve been wanting to do a revamp of him for quite a while. So once I finished Thonk, I decided to try tackling something a bit smaller, more simple. A nice change of pace.

So of course I almost doubled the amount of spikes and gave him a giant spiky buster sword.

I had considered using a more tame and faithful alternative for his mace-ax-club-sword-thingamajig but I felt like he called for something heavier. Plus I had ordered three extra blade pieces that I didn’t want laying around.

Another change was the beefiness of it all. I kinda liked the idea that Xplode had upgraded himself to take a few more hits. Since the Heroes had gotten more and more powerful, it only made sense that Xplode - one of the best at the whole “Criminal for hire” gig, would have made himself more endurant and powerful to stay competitive.

I did leave his meteor blaster alone, because I feel like that’s the sort of weapon he’d like to be quick and maneuverable. Something you can be quick on the draw with, rather than have a giant cannon to lug around.

Overall this MOC certainly isn’t my best, but it was never meant to be. It’s just a fun little dive back into my childhood, and into some simpler techniques and styles. It was nostalgic, while also refreshing. I’ll definitely be doing more MOC’s like this in the future.

Thank you for checking out my stuff! And have a great day!

Windows, lights, riders, angry driver, and a drunk-bot in the back. Add the smell of pot and urine and we've got ourselves a real bus!

Here's a sneak preview "under the hood," as it were. I extended Scorpion-Strike's

Ketar Revamp function to run to the tail rather than the head, giving a sort of double-function, bashing the claws together or pulling them apart to strike with the tail.

Also, due to the design of the Crystal addon piece, my claw design snaps open and shut. Seriously, try it (the right one works better). I'm proud of figuring that out. :D

Earlier this year, I decided to recreate the Hero Factory set Jetbug as a mecha.

The hips are based on this concept by jakobekvall, but use 3D-printed parts. The upper torso is based on ReFrame V2 by Messymaru. The legs are also inspired by his work.

Many elements of the design, like the body, the lower legs, or the shoulder shields are inspired by the Gundam Astaroth Origin.

Hey everyone!

We've decided to go back and make a few edits to our old curved torso designs that lacked back printing. These revamps will be adding back printing to all of them or possibly making a few changes. All of these revamps will occur over a span of time rather than all at once, so we will be re-releasing these in between new product releases and they will not all come at once.

For our first update, we decided to add back printing to Sand Blue Midriff Curved Torso (Aayla torso). We will also be releasing it in a variety of colors as well: blue, light flesh, tan, and yellow. As an added bonus, we've also added in an updated version of the head in sand blue, blue, light flesh, yellow and sand green.

We hope you enjoy these updates and Happy Customizing!

Novice Toa of Sonics trained by the Order of Mata Nui. The only Toa who has ever made the ireful brows of the Kanohi Hau looks soft.

Been wanting to bring him over to the standardized revamp family for quite some time now. Was very satisfying to just throw him together one night.

I’ve struggled to revamp Tarix over many years, what with the delicate balance of his color scheme and a practical solution for his iconic shoulder spikes.

My solution is to shorten the spikes and maintain that balance of colors, adding in a little more Mata blue and filling in gaps.

The Leader of Metru Nui, totally trustworthy and is not actually Teridax in disguise after stealing the real Dume, no no.

Hey, look! I actually built a Bionicle model!

This was partially inspired by MrBoltTron's amazing Bionicle and Hero Factory builds. I've been meaning to build something using the new Bionicle parts for a while, but didn't have enough of the sets to do it until recently. So here's a Pohatu figure! Yeah!

Where we're going, we won't need roads. Parachutes, possibly, waterwings definitely, but definitely no roads. Obviously those will already be there, why would we have to pack a whole new road, I mean honestly, does it look like there's a any luggage space in this thing?

Really tried to make something streamlined here. I like how it turned out. Also decided to use the Ultimate Dume Kraahkan, which is something I feel isn't used all that often (understandably, it's a weird piece to work with).

Building Onua was a little refreshing due to his unique body type. I wanted to emphasize his arms and pack the most detail into there as we usually see him digging in the limited amount of promotional material we got.

The whole squad’s here, and the six original Toa live once again with bigger, buffer designs! After revamping Tahu, I realized that he'd be pretty lonely without his team. The Bionicle storyline was often about learning to work together, respecting others even if you don't get along, and using your own strength to support others. I'm thinking that my strong sense of loyalty and duty as an adult were partly shaped by the themes and stories I loved as a child.

It's a version of Bulk that is often forgotten but very special, so now was the perfect time to give him some attention, and some height!

This was an absolute blast to make, this initially started with making the weapons. I tried to be faithful to the original set and recreate the weapons as identical as possible. I'm very proud of the end result!

Inspirations for this build was the original set and Megaman.

"Shunned by their creators and hated and feared throughout the universe, the bitter, savage Zyglak retreated to the dark places of the world. There they waited, brooding over their fate and hating the Matoran and all who honored Mata Nui."

This is how the station is looking now. I remodelled it after the station at Wondelgem here in Belgium. It's about 80% done now. The dark blue bits on the roof are just to fill in as I ran out of black roof tiles. Unfortunately bricklink orders are on hold till I pay off my wife's credit card bill:( Anyway the engine shed was also redone, slimmed down and lengthened to 66 studs in length, so it can comfortably accommodate my locos.

Some minor tweakage of the 1.0 line

This MOC.....it's been done and photographed since months ago. The day that I got my braces to be exact (one week before school started). I kept saying that I would post it once I edited the background, but that clearly didn't happen.

As you can see, this revamp can be made into it's Nuva form by simply adding some armor. This is probably the fastest Bionicle MOC that I have build, only taking a couple hours in one day. I'm really happy how it turned out, there are some things that I would like to improve, but I don't feel that they're that important to fix anytime soon

Here's what you were waiting for Kamil Z, who I kept promising that I would post this picture soon.

I'll post this on mocpages in a bit. It's a revamp of my old Nakyta moc.

"Hakeahu was a member of the Order of Mata Nui stationed on Terra Nui. He was good friends with the island's Matoran and Toa, and an advisor to Turaga Akito on many matters."

Another revamp, even more drastic than the Zakarath in terms of changes from the prior version,. In Hakeahu's case, his revamp almost entirely old-school Bionicle parts, with about a single Hero Factory piece to his name, in part due to the differences in hues of silver.

Lastly, he now has the Dali moustache. Oh yes.

The legendary Seventh Toa has arrived, in glorious revamped form. Hope you like him as much as I enjoyed building him!

I'm really happy with how he came out, especially the painted chestpiece. I used Citadel Paints, with one layer of Liberator Gold over a base of Abaddon Black. I tried two coats of gold, but then it looked too yellow compared to the original gold parts. Would definitely recommend these paints for anyone interested in modifying their Bonk parts (even if it *is* illegal).

Now I've just got to think of the next project...

Got my Genus Look updated. (Legacy Update, different Hair)

My second entry to BobtheDoctor's Contest of Champions over on Tumblr, Category 4: Gali Mistika Revamp. This was done in a similar style to my Lewa Phantoka Revamp from... a while ago.

And yes, I kept those arms. I spent weeks trying to build something better, and couldn't, so that tells me these suit her best.

This is an older moc that I'm just uploading here. I'm not totally happy with how it came out so maybe someday I'll revisit him.

It is said that all good revamps must have a Toa Metru gearbox crotch…

Here is Kiina in a revamped form. I shortened the upper arms slightly and worked to fill out some of the proportions. Also gave her a spear reminiscent of her Vapor Trident’s original form.

Secondary Glatorian of the Ice Tribe, Gelu retired from arena politics to become a caravan escort. A former student of Certavus, Gelu is an agile warrior and a shrewd tactician.

I shortened the arms and filled in some gaps. Always loved Gelu’s build and consider him to be one of the lesser loved Glatorian despite hitting all the right notes. His color scheme was solid and his helmet and weapon combination fit perfectly with the tone of 2009.
