Well it’s a month into 2020 and I finally decided to revamp Runk again. This time I went bigger than ever and feel like I really achieved something. I experimented with a bunch of different techniques and got a surprising amount of poseability and stability out of this moc! There are more pictures on my profile so check those out! Please leave thoughts and criticism in the comments, I’d love to hear everyone’s opinion.

Did away with the infamous "gearbox" and replaced the arm with something more articulated. Instead used a configuration similar to Frost Beast. Also added more armor to the torso and added fingers. Feels much more compact now.

Izotor is a veritable fortress of frosty steel and enchanted ice. Though he doesn't say much, his loyalty to his people is unquestionable. If he could, he would bear every injury they receive in battle upon his own armored body.

In my headcanon, Izotor is actually female (perfect gender ratios and all that). But when I started this MOC, that torso and shoulder design just built itself and I went from there. The lower arms were a little tricky to design and took a few versions to get something stable enough to wield his heavy shield and warhammer.

the town looks a little different, regretfully I had to put Santa's workshop up in the corner and have lost my little courtyard. (I had plans for a real working fountain) Luckily, got rid of some old backdrops and put up some new and it looks nice except for the lavender wall you can see in the cloud/skyline, lol.

gave her a red red nose.. Hehe

Worked on her for 4 hours straight... So tired now... Now I can go have a good nights sleep...

Sorry for the crappy photo as it's 10:30pm now....

PS: I keep redoing my customs because I am trying very hard not to increase the number of blythes I have! Lol!

scaled her down and purged all the gold from her color scheme with the exception of as an accent on her claws.

I've had this truck for years and have kept updating it. This is the latest incarnation: new wheels (which necessitated rebuilding the suspension), a few modifications to the front bumper, small changes to the roof (partially tiled) and, most importantly, new tinted windows, including tinted windows in the rear passenger doors. For this, I had to come up with a new mechanism to open the doors.

As on the old model, the front and rear rotors are interconnected by a shaft that runs lengthwise through the cabin, so that they turn in tandem.

Novice Toa of Sonics trained by the Order of Mata Nui. The only Toa who has ever made the ireful brows of the Kanohi Hau looks soft.

Been wanting to bring him over to the standardized revamp family for quite some time now. Was very satisfying to just throw him together one night.

Reconfigured the torso and bulked up the legs. Didn’t have the heart to change the hands. Always liked the original, but this is a version I’m proud to display.

I'm getting back into Bionicle since it's returning soon, so this is what I've been working on for the past week or two.

A few things to note about this:

- I realise the upper arms are rather basic, this was because I wanted a decent amount of possibility near the wings for the arms. I might have been able to get around this but I didn't really focus much on that part as they aren't very visible (especially from behind because of the wings).

- The cordak blaster being a bow serves little practical purpose, it's for style more than anything.

I probably need some practise if I'm going to get into Bionicle MOCing, so expect a lot more in the future. They should get better over time.

Leader of the Av-Matoran. A wise and just orator known to have rallied hope in the dark times. He led the Matoran of Karda Nui in lieu of a Turaga and guided them for many centuries. By the Invasion of Karda Nui, he had a decorated career as a political leader and philosopher.

Canon suggests that he wore a noble Pakari. I took issue with that.

The hands were modeled off a design that I’ve seen floating around a few different places. Haven’t been able to determine whether or not they’re considered the intellectual property of a particular MOCist or if they’re considered fair use. Either way, they just seemed to fit.

Exile of the Fire Tribe, warrior of the Wastelands, Champion of the Vorox.

A powerful original set with some bold design choices. I’ve always loved the muscle texture on Malum but the height scaling and shoulder pads have always been awkward for me. I tried to correct these while keeping his best features.

Want to see more of Malum? Feel free to check out Way of the Lawless, a chapter book story I wrote over lockdown about his exploits in the Wastelands of Bara Magna!

His vast knowledge doesn't stop there, as he's a master in tactics. He is ruthless and has savagely killed both Karzahni and Tren Krom. It is rare he gets to use his Great Being abilities.

"This tiny form I inhabit crushes me... contricts me... I wish to vacate from this shell.. alas, I may not."

(Body by WCP, I didn't like the limbs so I stuck to the default set limbs)

After taking some advice on this picture, i have make adjustment to it. Let me know what yas think!! So i toned up the colour, got rid of the land at the back and cleaned up a few dirt spots with the healing brush

Came 3rd in an Online Photo comp...

Making a smoky departure from Goulburn having swapped out C502, C506 and newly badged C510 leave with 9347 empty SSR graincorp grain bound for Temora. The crew had battled the Illwarra Mountains earlier that day having tipped at Inner Harbour Port Kembla.

I rebuilt this out of nostalgia, then I made it better.

Secondary Glatorian of the Ice Tribe, Gelu retired from arena politics to become a caravan escort. A former student of Certavus, Gelu is an agile warrior and a shrewd tactician.

I shortened the arms and filled in some gaps. Always loved Gelu’s build and consider him to be one of the lesser loved Glatorian despite hitting all the right notes. His color scheme was solid and his helmet and weapon combination fit perfectly with the tone of 2009.

Elite Skrall warrior equipped with a Thorned Club, Thornax Launcher and heavy armor. One of the most dynamic of the Glatorian builds and a standout from his wave. I took lengths to add more spikes and emphasize the muscles. Also got to fill in some gaps in his chest and strengthen some of my favorite features.

Never expected to like Vastus back in the day but recent years have made him one of my favorite sets!

Removed the Hordika legs and beefed up the torso. Lots of subtle modifications to make Vastus stand out.

My Umarak the Destroyer revamp. Closeup of the jaw system, which allows the jaw to be moved up and down. It is not a flawless solution, as it prevents the jaw turning left or right, so the head is not otherwise posable.

A Uniter revamp for Kopaka. Took several attempts to get something I was happy with.

The shield gave me particular trouble, but I ended up using the design of Jaller53.

"Shunned by their creators and hated and feared throughout the universe, the bitter, savage Zyglak retreated to the dark places of the world. There they waited, brooding over their fate and hating the Matoran and all who honored Mata Nui."

Here is Mata Nui for day 4 of the 9 day Revamp to Christmas.

Note: Mata Nui was not meant to be for day 4 becuase the original day 4 Revamp had to be fix to do that the picture was pixelated.

So many aesthetic features to love on Ackar from the use of the Electro Blades on the shoulders to the shinguards to the return of Mata red. I added some necessary bulk to the torso and filled in all the gaps I could. Not a great deal has been changed as the original set was so iconic. I may modify his upper arms in future but I like this version just fine right now.

The former leader of the Toa Cordak and everyone’s favorite guilt-ridden Toa of Air, Lesovikk is a character haunted by his past. His self-perceived failure to live up to the standards of the Toa exempts him from the Toa Code, and he is willing to kill his opponents, making him one of the more interesting protagonists to write for.

Lets start off by saying this is NOT MY PICTURE. Photograph belongs to Luke Alexander Gilbertson.

Today I was able to some how pick up Adobe CS6 brand new for 200.00 when it retails for over 600.00! What a find! After messing around with it I ended up doing my very first edit in the new program. I'm pleased with it. Photoshop is a lot easier to use then Lightroom but Lightroom really brought together the final touches:D

I know I may have over used the brushes but it really doesnt matter to me just trying to figure out everything.

My favorite part about 2016 is it gives me plenty of opportunity to experiment with new colors, functions, and character designs as I haven't for a long time. That, and some of the lackluster designs leave plenty of room for revamps. Though Ketar had plenty of great pieces, I found his design with its gangly limbs, long sword claws, and messy colors a bit silly. So I built him how he should have been, a big, scary scorpion with a striking/bashing function, snapping claws, and mandibles. Unfortunately, I couldn't find room for the unity function though.

Thanks to Scorpion-Strike on DA and his Ketar Revamp for the inspiration.

So a few months after Tahu, I decided to revamp Kopaka next in a similar style.
