Back with some turbines

Never expected to like Vastus back in the day but recent years have made him one of my favorite sets!

Removed the Hordika legs and beefed up the torso. Lots of subtle modifications to make Vastus stand out.

Never got to pick up Stormer XL back in the day. It now gives me great pleasure to unveil my modified version of the Big Daddy Bot, thus completing my standardized BREAKOUT Revamps.

Activated and ready, Nuparu's work is done. The Vahki are here, Surrender or Run.

One of many Vahki roaming the City, this particular one patrols Ga-metru. Silencing any Matoran that steps out of line.

The roof and the rear door are substantially unchanged. I've made some changes to accommodate new support for the slight bars and added a few curves slopes here and there to improve the shape.

The Leader of Metru Nui, totally trustworthy and is not actually Teridax in disguise after stealing the real Dume, no no.

Went with ibukkey0's revamp of the contest winning Helryx, though with some modifications to the legs. Also used the mace design of Galva_, which was the design I backed until the bitter end of the contest.

Happy to finally have a representation of Helryx in my collection!

Recently I acquired a number of ultrabuild sets and decided to revamp Jango Fett after realizing how bad the original set was, despite some standout parts like the excellent head sculpt. Many of the changes were fixing numerous proportion issues, along with a total redo of the torso/jetpack/blasters.

Given how quick and simple the MOC is, I also took this as an opportunity to experiment a bit with improving photography and more dynamic posing.

Let's do a Time Cruiser's revamp!

As no one said, ever. But I always wanted those daffy sets so . . . here's a brand new Hypno Cruiser ready to rock and roll through time and space.

Added the obligatory tires and shoulder add-ons. Filled in the gaps. Did away with the laser pin-pointer feature and now feel a lot happier with the creation.

While revamping my self-moc, I kept the base skeleton of the previous iteration and added some new, more system-based designs. Other obvious changes would be the color scheme, replacing the somewhat generic black with grey. The upper torso was also a nightmare to build/revamp since the original skeleton had very few attachement points aside from some axle holes. But I endend up figuring something out with a lot of system. I also added some pouches to the sides of his abdomen. Other aspects I retained (that are worth pointing out) are the mobility of the limbs (he has two points of articulation in his elbows and knees), the axe and his arms are basically the same as the previous version but with some parts swapped out.

Comments and criticism is always appreciated.

"Leader of the Sharaku servants of the Makuta of Shakaz, the Dark Lord, who attacked the isle of Terra Nui. Zakarath was cruel and sadistic, with immense powers of darkness and shadow. He could access the Zone of Shadows and vanish into existing shadows. A great military strategist, Zakarath was the greatest in power of his team, perhaps even surpassing the Dark Lord himself. His preferred weapons were a sword and triple knife."

A drastic revamp of his prior incarnation, with only the torso core retained. The color balance was also changed, to emphasize black more heavily. I think it worked out rather well, overall. It's good to have an updated version of a beloved character of mine.

I was going to say it's been a while since I've done a proper revamp... but I just finished the PoE. So here's another one.

This idea has been long in the making. It all started with an old (and terrible) sketch of mine, combining the look of Metru and Hordika Whenua (since that was the only Hordika I still have most of the parts to) in an attempt to make him look more mutated. I recently came to the realization that the new Bionicle 2015 armor also follows a lot of the same aesthetic of the Hordika foot and the Metru foot, so I decided to give it a go. I also borrowed a bit from Darkraimaster and The-HT-Wacom-Man from DA.

Some interesting parts to note include the opening jaw, the fully posable shoulders (the upper torso is a mess of HF joints), the posable waist, and the working spinner. Although the legs are simple (I got lazy...), I like how they turned out.

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't uploaded, but high school is totally time-occupying this year. But here;s what I got done:

-"Mud-and-blood" detailing

-Tan camo helmet retouches

-Tan camo pants with velt and boots

-Garand detailing

-"Leather" Helmet Strap

-Skin detailing on t-shirt

-New photography set-up

Enjoy!

Few alterations made to the breakout villain of the BREAKOUT line. A few tires added for muscle texture and gap filling, a modernized blaster typical of my other Standardized Revamps, and a few tweaks to the back.

My entry to the 2017 Bio-cup eliminatories, a revamp of 8957 Mine Mech.

2016 is shaping up to be the most controversial year of Bionicle since the Mistika. The sets are too shiny, lazily designed, and have awful proportions. But the thing that bugged me most about Akida wasn't her messy Technic torso, but her lack of any interesting functions. And so I decided to rebuild her to add TAIL FLIPPING ACTION!! Simply spin the gear on her back, and her tail swings side to side (see the video for a demonstration). And because her combiner with Gali kind of requires it, she retains her swivelling gun action (simply flip the black lever on her side).

Core Hunter was once a hero built by Hero Factory, after many missions and many dangers faced he defected from Hero Factory entirely, because to Core Hunter, no one cared about him in his eyes.

Leader of the Av-Matoran. A wise and just orator known to have rallied hope in the dark times. He led the Matoran of Karda Nui in lieu of a Turaga and guided them for many centuries. By the Invasion of Karda Nui, he had a decorated career as a political leader and philosopher.

Canon suggests that he wore a noble Pakari. I took issue with that.

The hands were modeled off a design that I’ve seen floating around a few different places. Haven’t been able to determine whether or not they’re considered the intellectual property of a particular MOCist or if they’re considered fair use. Either way, they just seemed to fit.

Reconfigured the torso and bulked up the legs. Didn’t have the heart to change the hands. Always liked the original, but this is a version I’m proud to display.

When 2016 rolled around, myself and many others were already feeling the G2 fatigue of overpriced and deeply-flawed sets. And so it came to be that I picked up several of the other Uniters out of a weary obligation rather than a genuine desire, mostly just glad to buy a BIONICLE in-store once again. My ambivalence towards the wave was especially true in the case of Lewa, who felt to have compromised articulation and proportions for the sake of his unique build. With many members of the fandom celebrating his inventive legs and versatile frame, I was not so convinced.

So, after a year of tweaking several revamp iterations, I finally managed to create a version of the set that I was happy with! It brings me great satisfaction to finally be able to showcase a revamp of a set that I initially disliked. I hope I have done him justice.

The 2008 Transdev B7RLEs are showing their age but are now being refurbished to a good standard. 1845 FJ08BZS is shown in Keighley bus station having received the treatment.

A inquisitive character that thrive the town and forest of Wonjileum. Rumors say she isn't native in this realm.

Previous Design.

Another obscure Hero Factory villain that I’ve struggled to mod for so long. The original set was so heavily engineered around the chomping action that it’s especially hard to imagine anything else. This version aims for more accurate shark proportions and a tighter color scheme. The Star Wars shoulder pads were very helpful.

Of course, this is modelled around the G2 set Akida, Creature of Water. Was really fun to follow the same instructions but use different colored parts. The proportions work out much better and it allows the back-mounted boosters to be brought forward.

It has been observed on discord that I have removed the jaw and shortened the blades. Therefore I have taken away everything that makes Jawblade… Jawblade. Please be sure to let me know where you land in this discussion.

My new Flickr series, Fashionistaz2K12....

Lol, kidding! Sorry, it had to be done :X

Anyway, I thought I'd do a little collage of some of my girls as the Barbie cast, which I can assure you is a one time deal, lmao.

My Umarak the Destroyer revamp. One significant change I made is the jaw, which can be moved up and down. It is not a flawless system, as it prevents the jaw turning left or right, so the head is not otherwise posable.

“Two hands.”

Kongu Mahri, armed with his two Cordak Blasters and plenty of attitude. For this revamp, it was especially important to carry over the bulkiness of the original set.

I've seen lots of headcanons positing that Kongu Mahri's armor was a sophisticated pressure suit designed to allow him to use his Air powers underwater, so I chose to keep as much of the broad design elements as I could. Also added an ammo belt for good measure. Look closely and you’ll see what efforts were made to accommodate the original build.

Though excitable and eager, Chiara is a solitary figure who prefers to act off her own merits rather than to rely on teammates.

Equipped with a Kanohi Volitak and armed with a pair of Volt-Blades, she prefers to stalk targets from the shadows and strike with ruthless efficiency.
