Think SAAB.

While the 3-Door 900 Aero is the first SAAB that might come to mind, the coolest is probably the Aero Convertible. A full four seats, plus all the usual SAAB coolness added up to a pretty compelling package. The ultimate colour, was of course, yellow, but black and red were OK too.

The SAAB 900 Convertible wasn’t super fast, but it didn’t need to be, the style was the key, and the convertible had it in spades.

The engine bay was constrained though, so SAAB’s route to performance was turbocharging. All SAABs had been FWD too, though this tended to limit how much torque could be transferred to the road smoothly.

For SAAB, this was a high point. The marque was sold on to General Motors, the second generation 900, based of the GM Cavalier platform, never captured the hearts of the buying public as the Classic 900 model had.

Being October, which had always been the LUGNuts anniversary month, this 1987 SAAB 900 Turbo 16S Convertible has been built to the 85th challenge theme 'Like, Totally 80s'.

By popular demand, this model is available on my Rebrickable account.

When A.R.M. made their first mech the Guardian 5 they were able to stand a chance against Hammer and his wolves, but upgrades and new enemies caused A.R.M. engineers to look for something with a bit more substantial weapons. Their wining design was The Actuator, a four legged walker capable of destroying robots, drones, and fortified bunkers.

This is my take on The Liberator from the Star Wars Rebels animated series. Its the same scale as my other micro Star Wars ships (I aim for 1:250), 59cm long, 1903 pieces weighing 1.6kg, but still very strong and easy to pick up.

I've tried my hardest to make all the sections proportionally correct and as detailed as possible. Most of the ship is made from modules connected to a Technic frame, inside of which is the ship's multi-layered interior (not to the same scale, its just a bit of fun!), topped by removable roof sections.

This was the last and by far the biggest ship on my micro Star Wars to-do list and I'm really pleased with how it turned out! Its the same scale as everything else I've labelled 'micro' so I'll try to take some group and maybe battle photos of lots of them together soon. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy the little space ships :)

Alternate build for set 60046 Helicopter Surveillance.

Eurobricks and Rebrickable were challenged by LEGO to make alternate models for current year city sets. The builds had to only use the pieces in available in the official LEGO model, be made in LDD, digitized, tested in real brick and be a model a 7-10 year old could build.

The wind turbine spins and rotates 360 degrees around the support pillar. There is a trapdoor in the buildings roof to allow access for the maintenance man to the turbine. After he presses the big red shut-off button of course.

Subsequent pictures show the set as a render in LDD.

Instructions now available on Rebrickable!

Eurobricks and Rebrickable were challenged by the Lego group to come up with alternate models for the most recent line of CITY sets, targeted to 7-10 year olds. I was lucky enough to get asked and received the set 60033 Arctic Ice Crawler.

It's a very likable set (nostalgia might help a hand here...), but 112 parts isn't a lot to work with, especially if there are parts that only connect to one other part. It definitely was a very interesting and challenging project, and I got the chance to get to know a lot of magnificent builders and human beings. So I'm really very grateful that I could be part of this project.

Anyway, on to the model! This bulldozer was build around the idea of re purposing the panel piece. The very nice amount of brackets also made it interesting to create a nice hood. The result is a very playable model, that can drive around, can lift and tilt its bucket (that can support some barrels or if you're lucky an orb of ice) and wiggle its crane. There are some details in the hood area and the cabin.

I hope you like it. If you happen to have the set, you can find instructions for this on Rebrickable.

One of my favourite cars, and favourite MOCs is the NC Mazda MX5.

Plans for building one for yourself are now available on Rebrickable:

rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-32964/lego911/mazda-mx5-nc-roads...

The model has functioning piston Technic engine, along with independent suspension front and rear, all packed into a pretty compact Miniland-scale model

Mazda launched the first MX5, also known as the Miata, in 1989. The car evoked the spirit of the MGB and other affordable British roadster of the 1950s and 1960s. In contrast to mainstream affordable cars of the time, the MX5 had rear-wheel-drive, and prioritised handling dynamics over vehicle packaging and system commonisation.

Mazda has subsequently released a further three generations of the MX5. The third, the NC Series, was launched in 2005. The car had 1.8L and 2.0L engines, in part to address weight gains. This was particularly evident in the folding hardtop model.

Nonetheless, the MX5 retained its delightful handling and pert good looks. For from being a ‘hairdresser’s car’, the MX5 is a vehicle for whom the joy of driving is a priority.

Professor Hammer's wolves (rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-143416/Brick-Fil-A-Builds/wolf/#...) had done just what he wanted them to, they had destroyed the EU and made him ruler of the world. Then A.R.M. had come out of the EU's destruction to stop him, soon wolves were not enough to keep him in power. To try and stop A.R.M. he spent millions of dollars of stolen/confiscated money into his next creation, the W.O.L.F. Commander.

Weapon systems,

Two rocket launchers with four rockets each, and his latest creation two crystal fusion swords, capable of cutting anything weaker then titanium armor plates.

Power supply,

Power comes from the rare red crystal in its chest.

He stands at 36 feet tall in lego scale and 9.2 inches in the real world.

Well, that Slave I has some weird colors! Not exactly minifig scale, is it? And that isn't even Boba Fett in the cockpit... What is going on?

Yes, I can read minds. But don't the colors and the parts remind you of a certain LEGO set? The A-wing (75003) perhaps?

Indeed, this Slave I is an alternate build of that set. Do you remember that good old days, when Star Wars sets came with alternate models (like the y-wing and tie advanced: you could build tons of things, ranging from a battering ram to a lightsaber! But I'm digressing.)

That's right, all 99 pieces come from the A-wing set. It was quite a hard build. I used up every single plate in the process, and getting some good SNOT done for the 'nose'-area was quite tricky without any real SNOT bricks. But hey, I think I managed quite well.

I was even able to include some play features. Besides details like the guns, some details on the wings and featured motors, the cockpit opens, a minifig can be fitted inside (and rejoice: even Boba can fit in with his helmet and jetpack!), and the wings can be tilted for flight and landing. Not too bad for just an alternate build, I would say.

This model was built for the December alternate build contest at Rebrickable (rebrickable.com/blog/2013/moc-alternate-build-competition...). Sign up and have some fun with alternate builds for yourself. I definetely got hooked. Lost of ideas are boiling in my head.

Thanks for watching. I hope you've enjoyed it. In the unlikely case you're interested in building this model, instructions are available at Rebrickable.

When humans completed a space-jump in 3048 it sent us into a new space race. Competition to settle new worlds and mine its mineral deposits for resources caused war to break out. Seeing the conflict seven pilots started the Guardians, an interspacel peacekeeping force. For centuries the Guardians protected space from pirates, armies, and space monsters, but by 3212 all of the Guardians had been destroyed, except one, crashing on Platos he gave his Guardian crystal to a small boy named William. William grew up, fixed the star-ship, and became a Guardian, the last Guardian. He upgraded the classic Guardian design and renamed it The Raven.

Introducing a new MOC line of 1/12 scale Good Smile "Figma"-inspired figures from the Fire Emblem Nintendo game series!

Mist appears in Path of Radiance and its sequel, Radiant Dawn. She is the sister of Ike and fights along her brother and the Greil mercenaries with healing magic, though she worries about his safety.

This Lego brick-built action figure of Mist has authentic posability and many joints. The figure comes with a posing stand, two different sets of hands (open hands and fists), three interchangeable face plates (normal, happy, and sad), as well as her mother Elena's staff (from the Fire Emblem Heroes app), the mysterious Lehran's medallion, a crate of apples, and a flower bouquet. A plaque is also included!

I'll be making many more Fire Emblem figures, so stay tuned in case one of your favorite characters drops!

Order of waves that will release throughout this year: Tellius, Fates, Fodlan, Echoes, Awakening, Shadow Dragon, and more!
