This is a 1958 reconstruction of the tea house emperor Meiji built for his empress Shōken in 1900. It is called Kakuun tei (written 隔雲亭 - which my poor Japanese, and a dictionary, would translate to something like the Separate Cloud Pavilion. If anyone has a better suggestion, please let me know). The original was destroyed by fire in the Second World War.
It is located behind a ¥ 500-pricetag (a little over 3,5 American dollars, or a little under 3,5 Euro) in the Imperial Garden at Meiji Jingu. If you are visiting there and want a more relaxing and less crowded experience, I can really recommend going there - even if it is off season for the flowers the place is perhaps most famous for.
This name of this store was written in Arabic letters to be pronounced literally, as the word “iconic” is pronounced in English, as this is the name of the store in English.
The trade naming system followed, as in many other Gulf/Arabian countries, doesn’t allow translation of the chosen name from one language to Arabic or vice versa. The name could be stated in any language as long as it’s pronounced exactly as its original language’s pronunciation.

This photograph captures a moment at the Naschmarkt flea market in Vienna, Austria. The scene is filled with people of various ages examining the wares on display. Several individuals are focused on bottles and framed pictures, while others browse through boxes of items. The overall impression is one of a lively and engaging marketplace.

The rich may sparkle in their glamour, fashion, narcissism, indifference about the rest of the world
.
The rich may get richer and richer for the sake of getting richer.
Like the disenfranchised and worlds impoverished they, the rich certainly too can fall from grace,
they too can enter the harsh realities of monetary need, debauchery and hunger in the blink of an eye.
We all can face loss in our lives, whether it is monetary or emotional.
What hurts more is open for debate.
We are all neighbors in this world.
Glued together, more than you know.
All that separates us are illusory walls, those with money put up.
tall buildings, and artificial inanimate objects that many put too high a pricetag on.

Photography’s new conscience
under the cold light of a shop window in málaga, a child points — not wildly, not begging — just quietly certain. the dolls above sit like judges, all priced the same, all smiling the same. a grown hand guides from the left, but the child already knows. it’s not about what’s best, it’s about what’s wanted. the moment is short, the light fluorescent, but the reaching — that stays.
Any MK1 Polo is a rare sight nowadays, particularly one in such original condition. This is no doubt helped by the fact that the car only had one keeper from new until October last year. I came across it on the forecourt of a small garage in SE London. They have put it up for sale, probably with a rather hefty pricetag attached, if the rising values of old Volkswagens are anything to go by! I’d like to think that the person who ends up buying the car will keep it looking as original as it is at the moment. Many other similarly aged Polos tend to have banded steels and other naff modifications.

The Citroën Type H, the latest addition to my garage. No, it’s not a spaceship but I gotta have something to carry all the spare parts for the ships. They don't fit in my old Volvo sedan, you know. That lorry next to the Citroën is an old piece of junk, simply too unreliable. The Citroën just needs a little TLC and it's good to go.
I had no plans to build anything for a while, no desire to sit by the workbench. But for another project I visited our local hobby shop and spotted this Citroën by Heller, it was very cheap too. So I bought it and figured what the hey, I needed a new car to the carage anyway. The ones I had were built LONG ago. I mean, the red Ford barely seen on the right is a model I built in the 1980's.
A simple and fast build, I thought. Heh! I almost succeeded this time, except the kit was very poor in quality and needed some extra work. The parts in the kit had errors like I've never seen before, they were a poor fit and the overall design was just... cheap. Well, cheap, hence the pricetag. I guess it looks fairly accurate though, if not counting the fact that that windshield and the front grille are not from the same year model...
While photographing this I realised once again how much I miss Michael Paul Smith's uploads. It is so sad he is gone.

This image is of a river called Laxá and it is one of the most expensive fishing rivers in Iceland. People are paying up to ca. 5000$ per day to fish there! But despite the huge pricetag this is a beautiful river and great landscape around it.
...And she did! But Daddy baulked at the $20 pricetag! I was SURE not going to give him a smile after that...as you can see...I AM NOT HAPPY!
A larger version of the standard combat AT-AT, the AT-ACT walker features a dedicated cargo bed for the transportation of heavy building materials or combat munitions. It was deployed at major Imperial construction projects, such as shipyards and sprawling research installations.
Hello everyone! Sorry for not uploading in a while, i picked up a new job while finishing school for the year and have been rather busy since. I finished this along side my other build back in late November, this Moc along side my other one is for Brickvention 2017 which is in a few weeks. I really do not want to talk about the multiple collapses and hours spent getting it to work (Alongside the pricetag) and relieve the annoyance. I hope you guys enjoy, and if you are reading this far and enjoy my content i have some disappointing news, i've really lost my flame for constantly building Lego, i really need to stop building as much and focus on things that will take me further like school and work.
Feedback is much appreciated!
I have always had great admiration for Duesenberg; a small already long gone manufacturer named after the two brothers Duesenberg that was known for its performance and extreme luxury, packed in a beautiful design. Only few could afford a Duesenberg as the car was much more expensive than a regular car at the time. The type J and SJ (supercharged) could easily cost 15.000 USD, in a time a common car would cost 500 USD.
The mid thirties SJ might be the best they made. The supercharged 419cu (6.8 liter) eight in line engine produced 320 hp and was capable taking the car to a topspeed of 205 km/h; a figure hard to imagine in 1935!
Many famous people drove the SJ, including Hollywood stars like Clarck Gable. Only a couple of hundred Duesenberg were ever built before the company died, but as they were rare and collectable many survived till today. They come at a high pricetag though; Duesenbergs have been sold for up to ten million at auction.
My LEGO model is based on the Dual Cowl Pheaton, by LaGrande. It is build in scale 1:8.5 (derived from the wheel size), and consists of roughly 5000 parts. I have put in a lot of detail, like the engine (it was always painted green in a Duesenberg), and added some retro-chromed parts as well. I made two roof setups to show the car open and closed.
..."hey now, all you sinners
put your lights on, put your lights on
hey now, all you lovers
put your lights on, put your lights on
there’s a darkness deep in my soul
I still got a purpose to serve
so let your light shine into my hole
god, don’t let me lose my nerve"...
