Black Tomatoes for Black Friday! 🍅 This variety known as Indigo Rose Tomatoes and we grew them on an aeroponic Tower Garden.
Black tomatoes are absolutely delicious and stunningly beautiful.
These tomatoes are black due to the heightened presence of an antioxidant known as a Anthocyanins which are responsible for the purple/black/blue pigmentation in vegetables and fruits. Anthocyanins may have antioxidant and anti-aging benefits and may even enhance memory.
Common fruits and vegetables rich in anthocyanins include blueberries, black grapes, blackberries, plums, purple cabbage, eggplant, purple cauliflower, purple potatoes, and black tomatoes.

Obviously my keynote this morning is for the agricultural industry - I’m headlining the DTN Ag Summit in Chicago for about 700 farmers, agricultural specialists, ag companies and crop consultants.
It’s a fascinating industry - my theme is ‘Agriculture 2045”, or what the industry might look like some 30 years from now.
I’ll be talking about 24 hour farming using autonomous tractors, virtual farming, robotic pickers, smart insects, micro-climate irrigation and more. There is just so much going on in this industry - and all of the things above are already happening to a degree.
Their innovative mindset has led to some huge new realities:
- corn yields have gone from 39 bushels to 153 per acre in the last 50 years
- farmers produce 44% more milk with 65% fewer cows than 1944
- soil erosion is down 32% from 1928 - today an acre of land supports one human life
– that will decrease to 1/3 acre within 35 years
- output of eggs and poultry have increased 411% from 1948 to 1994
- this year, the US posted the longest stretch of falling food prices in 50 years, due to advances in agriculture
- when planning each year, farmers must select from thousands of potential seed varietals, each tailored to particular geographic, soil and other characteristics
- it’s hugely science driven
It’s a fast moving industry, and it provides a perfect example to many other industries on how to be relentlessly innovative.
Will my talk work? Some folks think I’m a farmer! I spent so much time customizing the presentation for one agricultural conference that at the conclusion, one fellow came up and asked him how long I had been a farmer!

An abundance of Siberian Kale growing on our #TowerGarden @ibiza.farm 🌱💚🌿A native of Russia, Siberian kale thrives in cold weather but is also tolerant of warmer temperatures so it’s ideal for early spring & fall plantings and will grow well over the summer. Siberian kale is a nutritional powerhouse and is packed with powerful antioxidants, particularly the carontenoids and flavonoids, which have been found to help prevent and fight cancer. It’s also loaded with vitamins and minerals including half of your daily requirement for vitamin A, double your daily needs for vitamin C, and far more than enough vitamin K. It also contains a significant amount of your daily needs for fibre, iron, and calcium. No wonder it’s so often referred to as "the queen of greens." 👑🌱

White eggplant (aubergine) grows vigorously and abundantly on a Tower Garden 🍆
Although white eggplant varieties are completely edible, their skins are firmer than purple varieties and should be peeled before cooking. White eggplants are originally from India and Bangladesh and have been consumed since centuries.
When growing eggplants on a Tower garden, we recommend using a grow-cage in order to support the weight of the branches and fruit.
White eggplants are botanically classified as Solanum melongena and belong to the nightshade family (Solanaceae) along with potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers 🍅🌶

Red Chinese yard-long beans grown on a Tower Garden. ❤️
We have grown green yard-long beans before but this is our first year growing red ones! We are absolutely stunned by its beauty. 😍
Chinese yard long beans are also known as long podded cowpea, asparagus bean, pea bean, or snake bean. 🌿🌱 This plant is of a different genus from the common bean. They are botanically a type of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) though they resemble pole beans (Phaseolus vulgaris). Young beans develop within sixty days of cultivation, and the long pods grow in pairs from the stem. Known for their extraordinary length, the beans can grow up to thirty inches (76 cm.) in length but for best flavor and texture, they should be harvested when between twelve and eighteen inches (30cm. - 45 cm.)
There are also multiple varieties of Chinese yard long bean including purple, red, green and yellow as well as multicolored green, pink and purple strains. We personally love to put them in a stir-fry, it’s absolutely delicious 😋 💚

Look at this hexagram that is created on black tomatoes due to the sepal that has suntanned the skin! Geometry in nature is omnipresent & spectacular. 🌱🍅
How to know when a Black tomato is ripe? Look at the hexagram at the top of the black tomato (created by the suntan of the sepal) to see a reddish color, that’s when you know it is ripe (as shown in the first picture). If it is green (as shown in the second picture), then you know it is unripe.
This tomato variety is absolutely delicious and is known as Indigo Rose. It is black due to the heightened presence of an antioxidant known as a Anthocyanins which are responsible for the purple/black/blue pigmentation in vegetables and fruits.

Aeroponic purple cauliflower ready for harvest and grown on a #TowerGarden 💜🌱💜 Purple cauliflower’s color is naturally occurring and originates from an antioxidant called anthocyanin, which can be found in red cabbage and other purple veggies. Purple and orange cauliflowers are recent discoveries, dating back to 1970, when farmers in Canada noticed an unusually colored plant growing in a white and-green cauliflower field. Scientists then bred the colorful anomalies into distinct varieties, improving upon taste, color and hardiness.
Like traditional cauliflower, purple cauliflower is a great source of vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin B6, folate, fiber, and antioxidants. Cruciferous vegetables such as cauliflower are known for their high levels of cancer-fighting phytochemicals know as glucosinolates. Purple cauliflower also goes by the variety names Sicilian Violet, Violet Queen and Grafitti cauliflower.

Farm Simulator 25 beautifully exemplifies my sentiment that farming means finding solace and inner peace in rhythms that are constantly ongoing. The beauty of this game lies within its simplicity; it strives for it. As for now, the overwhelming amount of machinery, the different weather systems, and the extensive landscapes all possess an underlying truth that is rather astonishing.
With the new Asian-inspired map that comes with this additional installment, console Sleight makes a lot of new and forgotten offers. The lush rice paddies and unique farming challenges alone make it feel like agriculture remains vast and video-enveloped.
In addition and more notably, the ability to cultivate crops and livestock while in this world is what renders this title so memorable. The hours that seem to vanish while setting shoes and viewing the world beneath the sun as it dips below the horizon, watching stems from the tireless sprinkling of sweat-stained on my forehead. There is a welcoming absence of perfection that is required while slaughtering demons based out of America. Rather, you are encouraged to fumble and finally retrieve the Iran from within.
There are indeed issues with this and is a displeasure for all those who buy cheap PS4 games. For instance, I find the weather systems to be a bit more exciting than they currently are. The menus and controls are still an issue for new users. PlayStation gamers in particular who are used to the infinite possibilities offered by mods might find this version quite lacking.
But for some like us who want a break from the fast-paced world, Farming Simulator 25 is just that. Go to the fields, let the relaxing sounds of machinery as well as crop fielding relax your mind, and enjoy the beauty of life cultivated.
Aeroponic fennel growing on a Tower Garden 🌿🍃 Fennel is a perennial plant that belongs to the Apiaceae family which includes anise, carrots, celery, cilantro, cumin, dill, parsley, parsnip, and more!
Although most instructional manuals will recommend planning several seeds per cube of rockwool, we advise you to plant only one seed per cube. In fact, when planting more than one seed per cube, you will have several fennel bulbs/plants growing out of one hole of the planting section. Having 2 to 3 bulbs of fennel growing together out of one hole looks amazing, however, when several bulbs of fennel grow out of the same hole/cube of rockwool, they do not develop as well as when there is only one bulb per hole. Single bulbs do not need to compete for space and therefore will grow bigger and deliver a better texture and a sweeter flavor.

Farming Simulator 25 gets straight to the point. Once you start up the career mode, you immediately jump into the intricacies of managing a farm. And believe me, this is far more complex than a simple X-to-plant game. From plowing the field to harvesting crops, every action is systematic and requires planning and skill.
The improved GPS is helpful for players who love technology and cutting angles. However, for those of you who prefer steering with no extra precision, this feature can be ignored, and you can drive your hand-guided machine across the fields. You can certainly appreciate imperfections discovering the parameters of your land and finding a balance that appeals to you.
With sheep, pigs, and cows being a part of the more exotic expanded animal roster, breeding, feeding, and selling livestock gets a lot more interesting. This ever-growing, more complex breed livestock management system becomes more active and engaged. Rather than being as simple as working with mindless cattle, livestock management systems breed, feed, and sell livestock as a complete micro farm within the farm.
And then there comes the problem of crop variety. My first destination on the Asian map was the rice paddies, which had a new mechanic: managing the flooding in the fields. It is not as simple as growing corn or wheat, and it needs proper timing as well as preparation. For players who buy Xbox games, this map certainly provides a much-appreciated break from the European-style farmlands of the previous games' maps with its ecological hurdles.
Farming Simulator 25 does an excellent job of providing ease of use within a realistic context. When playing, there is the option to take the easier route by hiring AI helpers or using mods if you are on PC, but the game is best enjoyed when you are grinding on the farm. There is a sense of earning every shipment, every harvest, and in that, the satisfaction of the game lies.

Fall tillage using GPS guidance, accurate within one inch, for ridge-till planting in spring. University of Minnesota, Rosemount Research and Outreach Center. Research by the U of MN, Minnesota Agricultural Experiment Station (MAES) stimulated commercial applications of precision agriculture, beginning in the late 1970s under the leadership of Dr. Pierre C. Robert, MAES project #25-020. The Precision Agriculture Center was founded in 1995, and headed by Robert until his death in 2003. Research continues by James Bell, John Lamb, Edward Nater and others.
Seasons play a huge role in Farming Simulator 25. From planting to growing and harvesting, everything depends on not only timing but also weather. Every day spent on the farm is full of excitement and meaning. You're not just working to work; there's a race against the clock to get as much done before winter comes.
This cycle receives a significant boost with the addition of dynamic weather features such as hail, fog, and even tornadoes which sweep through the rolling hills. With the introduction of these features, your plans will definitely undergo some changes as it is now easier to be unpredictable. Foggy mornings might greatly limit visibility while tornadoes have the capability of shredding through your crops and wreaking havoc on everything. It's worth buying Xbox games like this one but everything I mentioned doesn’t come without drawbacks- the storms could be more threatening in gameplay terms, but they do provide realism and tension to your day-to-day activities.
What is particularly rewarding is that you now have to adapt to different scenarios such as hailstorms. Hailstorms shift priorities meaning that repairing damages rather than harvesting becomes the new focus. Changing seasons also require a great deal of attention, thinking about storage solutions and crop rotations will all have to be planned in advance.
While the Asian map adopts rice farming, these features gain a new advantage. Timing becomes critical when flooding the fields and is another important area of strategy. It's less about brute efficiency and more about working with the land, understanding its quirks instead of working against it.
There is a healthy balance of hard work and relaxation in Farming Simulator 25 and these systems provide everything that a player with a challenge would want to strive towards. And for those who are simply looking to enjoy the game, rest assured, Farming Simulator 25 caters to that too.
There is a certain beat to Farming Simulator 25 that is extremely engaging. Everything is captivating, and it all begins with a plan to sow livestock, tend to seeds, and plow surroundings as a capable (in-making) farmer. Yet, all of that is simply the execution that draws you in. The game cleverly forces you to shine. With a unique gameplay loop, the game makes a perfect blend of long-term strategy and short-term tasks.
There is much satisfaction in achieving a sense of progression. There is a strong reward for all the effort that a player pours into the land, as they do start small with basic fields and pieces of machinery, but eventually, as a player shrinks their methods and budgets on how to improve their equipment, the payoff is extremely rewarding.
Even activities like harvesting and delivering merchandise to the market are uncomplicated but never boring. In fact, players who buy PS5 games of this kind will find FS25 even relaxing in its simple ways. The mechanics and the physics of the game make every activity feel genuine. Even something as simple as steering a grain-filled trailer down a gravel road feels like an experience thanks to the game’s detail.
Then there are the minor triumphs: finishing a row of crops, sporting your animals prosper, or finishing an especially profitable contract. These small achievements remind one of the reason one is working so hard.
One criticism could be that the menus and commands are at times annoying. Like all games, Farming Simulator 25 has a slow learning curve. For novice players, the initial learning stages are quite challenging, but once they get through these hurdles, enjoying the game is effortless.
This game is all about self-satisfaction (and maybe relaxation). It’s not about completing challenges impetuously, it’s about finding contentment in a job well done. Anyone willing to work on the farm is a rewarding experience.
The GNSS incorporates the latest innovations such as an inertial module providing automatic poletilt compensation in a very compact design. Visit our site: www.amazon.com/dp/B0BF4BJGL4
Farming Simulator 25 has more than just farming, it focuses on the machines that enable farming. With just a simple tractor, you can use machines to make farming easier, and the same applies to giant harvesters. The vehicles in the tractors are more than equipment, they are your field partners.
From the classic John Deere tractor’s cabin to the seat of a modern seed drill, every part of the machine looks incredible. You buy PS5 games and play a simulator, however, you feel like a real farmer the moment you touch a knob steering wheel, push a lever, or fire up the engine.
The vehicles’ accompanying gameplay is engaging yet fun. Everything becomes so engrossing once you reach that point that you feel like you can’t get enough. It’s pleasing to embark on chores such as plowing, seeding, and lifting hay bales, as they are remarkably lifelike.
For those seeking easy precision farming, the new GPS guarantees perfectly straight lines for optimum output and makes it much easier. Likewise, the game allows players the freedom to do things the more conventional way, where rows have to be judged, errors are made from time to time, and everything in between.
The physics may not be accurate—there might be a few machines stuck in place that look more glitchy than reasonable—but the experience is perfect.
