The lady next to me is awesome. She knows Jeff as our 'Fat Friend' and she always jokes and laughs with us. She also always gives us two forks for our poutine, no matter how many times I tell her I'm not going to share with Shane.
I really had a craving for poutine. So, I found cheese curds at the farmers' market, "baked" my own fries and the only downer - packaged gravy. Next time fresh gravy. ;)
My second attempt at poutine -- this time with chipotle mayo and gravy. 'Twas good, but still not what I was expecting. Although I'm not sure what I'm really expecting.
A friend of ours, who is Australian (now Canadian!) living in Montreal, told us to say hi to a friend of hers who owns a poutine restaurant in Munich, after Dave had mentioned the name "Poutinerie" on Facebook. Anyway, as Canadians (and especially as a French Canadian), I had to say hi and try it. We have been very courteously welcomed by Jochen and had poutine on St-Jean-Baptiste Day! Woohoo!
Funny thing is that when we went, a German lady told me that it is really good, I should try it. I couldn't hold a laugh and said "I know! I grew up with that stuff!". :-D

at La Belle Province. Its french fries with brown gravy and cheese curds!! Freaking delicious (and potentially destructive to your bowels)
