PorkChop was out for a stroll around the livingroom tonight. Isn't he cute?
Hope everyone had a nice Easter!
We did the special Thursday menu (1/2 priced entrees) and decided to split a couple of mains to try out the whole menu. They were so kind as to split the portions for us.
A Pork Chop (marinated in cider brine) Sandwich with Provolone and lettuce, with a side of chips and Ranch dressing; from the BOC Build Your Own portion of the menu.
Nicolette Hahn Niman, attorney, livestock rancher, and author of Defending Beef and Righteous Porkchop spoke to the WAPF Marin Chapter about nutritional and ecological aspects of meat production. She dispelled myths of cattle farming's effects on climate change, proving the benefits of responsible cattle ranching on air, soil and water. Monday, so why not something fast, easy and very nice?
Chopped a few garlic cloves and an onion and melted in butter with some of the lovely chillepowder from New Mexico.
Added a large handfull of thinly sliced mushroom and 2 chopped up porkchops.
added about 1dl of (double) creme, some mustard and turmeric for color. A few slices of jalapenos.
Reduced the creme and served with freshly ground black pepper over a few thin slices of tomato. *posh*
