These homes are at the top of a hill in Daly City. There's really nothing around these pod of homes. In Italy, homes are built on cliffs creating villages while in America homes are built on hills or ridges in isolation. Viewing these homes descending down the San Bruno mountain.

Captured this Lilly Pod in late afternoon Sunlight at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. in Sarasota, FL. Loved the two pods, various sizes and shapes. Also saw these as a black and white scene...

The only thing the Joes hate seeing more than a Flight Pod is two Flight Pods, as these two pour on the power as they blast skyward.

I'm not sure exactly what these remind me of... coral?? pods??

I considered using the fort and the stand for the pod, but that seemed cliche, so I instead I used the star shaped fort as inspiration for the wings and headrest. From the front they form a very obscure 5 point star. This is also more practical, and I like making my podracers practical(besides the part where podracing itself isn't practical) because I figured out a way to make the fig look like she was reclining in a seat and not standing at an awkward angle.

Day 75/365 Flax Seed Pods

Keurig refillable pods. We ground our own coffee and fill these pods. Each one is one cup of coffee so we never have to throw out what's left in a coffee pot. The savings are amazing.

this design was an experiment. i want to add more buttons scattered around the pod, but i'm sick and don't have the energy.

Camping pods - all the fun of camping without the tent. Key benefits include: not freezing, water tight and wooden deck with roof overhang.

Lotus water lilli seed pod after the bloom fell away.

It’s half a kombi. It’s a coffee shop.

Collected few seeds from the garden this weekend and played with them.

to be very clear, i dont’ know what this is.

ok, i take that back. i do know what this is. it’s a big black floating metal box sitting in the middle of a forest. to be more specifically clear: i don’t know why it exists.

i has no windows, nor does it have any plumbing or electricity. which leads me to the only rational conclusion one can come to when confronted with a big black metal box in the middle of the woods. which is: it’s an alien observation pod. or condo.

but regardless of it’s intended or unintended utility i posit that it’s great architecture. i mean, if i were an architect (which, clearly, i’m not) i would look at this big black metal box in the woods and say to myself, ‘who, that’s cool’.

and i imagine many architects strive to make buildings and structures that are, simply, weird and cool. which seems like a noble and valid pursuit. i mean, of course architecture ideally would involve the creation of spaces that serve real world purposes and have nice quotidian functionality. but some architecture can also aspire to just be odd and interesting and cool. like this big black accidental box in the woods.

oh, i looked around for alien footprints but found none. but, of course, aliens are clever and would probably not leave obvious footprints. and/or they were hovering over the ground.&nb ssp;or both. i saw no hovering foot prints either. but to be honest, i don’t know what hovering foot prints would actually look like.
