One of my first wet plates, made during a weekend-long workshop with France Scully Osterman, using pressed leaves and a 4x5 enlarger. Original is whole-plate, on black trophy aluminum.

My favourite assassin class servant from FGO. If I'm not wrong, she is the assassin servant in Fate/Prototype.
I particularly like the overall shape of the body, which uses 2x1 round plates for achieving the pose.
Unfortunately, I had to sacrifice several details & colors due to the scarce brick palette of dark tan. Body suit would have also been better in dark brown.
NS 289 rolls westbound through the hills of Western Virginia headed for Bristol, Virginia on November 22, 2024 with the Nickel Plate heritage unit out front.
found today, it is signed below as jg ft 1828 so Initials JG and fecit (made ) 1828. Size is 16cm x 13.5, on the back is half of another engraving so the plate was presumibly cut down and reused. I love the subject matter and check out the little child drawing on the floor.

If you look at the rear view photo you'll see there was a strip of black tape on the reg plate - temptation got the better of me and I pulled it off. I expected it to be an Arnold Clark plate but it turned out to be the much rarer and short-lived dealership Pinnacle.
Ei gente! Fiz mais um gradiente essa semana, pra não perder o costume haha. Usei o Pixel Turquoise the Noise, um esmaltinho muito bom que vende na Ulta Beauty, mas como o vidrinho é pequeno, o pincel não é muito bom. Com duas camadas cobriu muito bem, depois usei uma esponjinha de make. Matizei com o Ulta Blue Holiday. TC por cima. Pra carimbar usei a plaquinha hehe 056 e o Hits C06.

Vintage North Dakota plates. On an old farm truck in Taylor,North Dakota. Seen while out on motorcycle tour.
A recent haul from my trip to Hawaii. The 1974 Minnesota plate is now the oldest in my collection.
Also here is a Utah plate with rego stickers that expired in 1999 and a current issue Hawaii plate with a sticker that only expired 6 months ago in November 2015. The rego stickers confirm that these are legitimate plates - in Hawaii especially there are a lot of these for sale that look to be fake.
The profile of the passenger cars being pulled by Nickel Plate Road 2-8-4 No. 765 provides quite a contrast in designs and eras. This is the Indiana Ice Cream Train in Pleasant Lake, Indiana, on its way north on Indiana Northeastern rails.

This example shows, how you can, in some way, manage contrast of final wet plate picture with exposure time.
There are tree versions of the same scenery. Exposure difference is not dramatic - around quarter stop increase from the first to the second and another quarter or less was added in the third, brightest one picture.
The first, darkest picture on the left has perfect whites, but there is too much of pure black black parts without details. Increasing time started colouring overexposed whites down from pure white to creamy white. The white porcelain vase looks best on the darkest version, but in this case I’d gladly trade loos in whites for more details in darks. I considered the first picture as underexposed, but both the second and the third version are OK for me.

That's only the 5th Kosovo plate I've ever seen! Kosovo plates are rare in Switzerland, despite the large Kosovar community living here! Since I'm in Geneva, I've already seen 4 buses from Kosovo, all in the same area; there are probably buses which do the travel from Kosovo to Switzerland regularly.
Distance from home: 1835 km.
A local registration undamaged as well which is unusual a plate like this will be a rare sight after Brexit
